Over the next week new allies arrive. A rather flirtacious sorceress named Keira metz, two temerian soldiers that keep bickering, your old pal zoltan, a very grumpy wizard named ermion, and a bright red Triss merigold who comes up to greet you.
T:"Hey (y/n)"
(y/n):"Oh hey Triss! Good to see you, you here to help?"
T:"Yeah, the mages are all settled and i thought since you helped me i should help you"
(y/n):"Well we appreciate the help"
She then stands there sorta staring at you as you fix the roof.
(y/n):"uuuum, Triss? you ok?"
T:"Oh sorry! Yeah um i'm fine hehe."
She leaves not only the area but you in bewilderment.
Later you're sitting on the tower sharpening your weapons, getting a feel for the place making sure that you're prepared for anything that is to come. It's been a couple days since Geralt left for Ciri and everyone is on edge. avallac'h especially has been weird-ing you out. He's always staring at you, not in a romantic way but in the way you read a book or study a chemical reaction. Then there was the questions he asked...
A: So your a half witcher, half sorceress?
(Y/N): Yup. Weird i know...
A: So can you naturally use magic? Do you still have witcher senses? Does dimeritium dampen your abilities like it does other magical properties?"
(Y/N): jeez that's a lot. I can cast basic spells but beyond that i need practice, I do have witcher senses, and no, it doesnt."
A:"Hmm...peculiar..."
(Y/N):"So anyway...Any advice on training Ciri?"
A:"Be careful. She's quite the firebrand and it doesn't help that she is one of the most powerful people to have ever lived. If the hunt doesn't kill you, she might."
(Y/N):"Thanks i guess..."
You start to head to your room when someone catches your eye, an old friend of your fathers, Letho.
L:"(Y/N). Haven't seen you since you were a pup. How's your dad?"
(Y/N):"Letho? It's been ages. He's doing alright. You?"
L:"Could be better. and your mom?"
Your face grows somber
(Y/N):"She's... dead...burned at the stake."
L:"Oh...sorry to hear that. Hard luck seems to run in witchers like the blood on our blades eh?"
(Y/N):"Yeah..."
L:"So i heard you're the one who's gonna train the daughter of the elder blood. Well be careful she's a feisty one."
(Y/N):"So i've heard."
Your train of thought is interrupted by what looks like a man eating an apple under a tree by the ruined watchtower. Nothing too peculiar until you see that everyone is accounted for. But by the time you look back he's gone. Maybe you're seeing things out of stress. You decide that maybe a book will help you relax so you go to the castles library and start searching.
(Y/N):"Nothing but junk, junk 2, and junk 3: elven boogaloo."
You then find a scroll with an odd glow about it. You recognize some of the runes from your mothers old books.
(Y/N):"It's a scroll of unbreakable shield. This might come in handy later."
You stuff it into your pocket. You figure that you should get some sleep since you probably wont find a book so you head to your room and fall to sleep. On your way there you run into zoltan who has a question.
Z:"Where do ye keep yur explosive powder?"
(y/n):"Ah ya know, between the paprika and salt same as you."
Z:"HaHa! Always the jokester you! But really..."
(y/n):"In the lower courtyard by the stairs."
Z:"Thank ye"
(y/n):"Wait zoltan i gotta ask, have you been seeing a guy like nearby? like off in the distance?"
Z:"Um no why? are you?"
(y/n):"I mean yah kind of"
Z:"You think it's the hunt?"
(y/n):"No, this person is really relaxes 24/7."
Z:"Then i don't know, maybe ask yen?"
(y/n):"Yea sure thanks Z."
You end up in your room and doze off to sleep.
You begin dreaming of the upper courtyard. You feel trapped and near death with a massive dark figure looming over you. The dark figure laughs and swats you like a fly towards the castle doors. Then...nothing, the figure lies on the ground and you neel, resting your head on your sword hilt. Suddenly the dream is interrupted by bloodshot red eyes that felt like all evil is watching you.
The sound of a portal closing awakes you in a cold sweat. You hear Yen scream something...a name?
