Chapter 4: Another monster?

Vexelle's POV

A smile plastered on my lips the moment my girlfriend gripped my hand to drag me. We are heading to where the ferriswheel is. For so many times I've heard 'ferriswheel' from her, alam ko na ang gusto niyang ipahiwatig. She loves this ride that much, huh?

"C'mon Vexelle, sakay tayo dito!" She enthusiastically exclaimed. I chuckled before our hands intertwined. What can I do? I can't say no to her.

Habang nasa loob kami ng ferriswheel ay panay ang kwento niya tungkol sa iba't-ibang bagay. I stared at her intently and starts to daydream about our future together. Sigurado akong siya na ang babaeng huli kong mamahalin---only her.

Only Kezia.

Pagkababa namin ay nagpaalam itong magpupunta lang sa banyo na agad ko namang tinanguan. "I'll wait for you here," I said as I sat on the log with engraved flowers on it.

I checked my wristwatch. It's been 15 minutes when I let her use the comfort room. I couldn't help myself but to worry. Without hesitating, I jogged as fast as I could to every rest room I'd see. But unfortunately, I couldn't find her.

I tried to contact her phone but it's out of reach.

"Fu ck!" I cursed in frustration. Napahilamos ako sa inis at muling naglakad para hanapin siya. I sighed heavily when I reached another comfort room. But I was stunned exactly at my standing point, the moment I saw someone familiar from a distance.

I tried to examine her appearance, posture, and more. But I couldn't understand why does my heart pounds so fast while staring at her. Barely breathing, I touched my chest to feel its every beat.

Fu ck, I'm loyal to my girl---but this time, I just couldn't quit staring at this alluring woman infront of me. Mas lalo pang bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko nang magtama ang aming mga mata.

"V-vexelle..." She whispered. I'm not really sure if she did uttered my name, but one thing I am sure of is that---my heart beats for her. Wait, what? No!

I have a girlfriend for pete's sake! And that is Kezia.

Napapitlag ako nang may umukyabit sa aking braso. "Vexelle? Anong tinitingnan mo d'yan?" Tanong nito atsaka sinundan ng tingin ang direksyon kung saan ako nakatitig.

Mabilis akong umiling. "It's nothing, shall we go?" I offered that had her smile and at the same time, nod.

Habang naglalakad kami ay muli kong nilingon yung babae. But a sudden pain creeps on my entire system, when I saw her hugging other guy. Nasapo ko ang aking ulo nang bigla itong sumakit.

Darkness ate my sight. Wala akong ibang makita kun'di ang kadiliman kasabay ng pag bigat ng paghinga ko.

I inhaled, exhaled, and again until I went back to my senses. The first thing I saw is Kezia's worried face. Nakaupo kami ngayon sa isang bench habang patuloy niyang hinahagod ang likod ko.

She clasped my both hands. "Are y-you okay?" There's a hint of fear within her voice that merely touched my heart. "Hey, Vexelle, how are you feeling?" She asked for the second time while tearfully staring at me.

Bahagya akong natawa. "What's with that face?" I scoffed and stood up straight. "I'm all good, you're overreacting."

Hinampas nito ang balikat ko matapos niyang tumayo para harapin ako. "Hell! your temple was filled with puffy rootlets, how come I won't overreact, huh?" She's gritting her teeth while saying those. How cute.

Matapos no'n ay hinatid ko na ito pauwi.

I jumped on my bed and stare at the ceiling. That girl I saw earlier was familiar. Pipikit na sana ako para matulog nang may maalala akong isang bagay.
