Unspoken Troubles [on hold]

Chapter 5

I was surprised I slept at all. I guess I was relieved to be home. In the familiar. I woke up the next morning feeling the most rested I'd ever been. Also the most sick. I got up and ran to the toilet, throwing my guts up. Ugh!

"Car are you okay?" I heard my brother ask from outside the bathroom.

"I'm just a little sick."

"Time to go then" he says.

"But I have to pack!" I say opening the bathroom door.

"Wow you were really out of it last night, your room is packed. There are clothes for you. Come on" he says.

I go into my room and notice he was right. My room was packed. I got dressed and walked downstairs, only to be ambushed by Tiff.

She hugged me. "Now I don't have to let you out of my sight either. And we get to live in this big house together!" She said excitedly.

"Tiffany, get off my sister. She needs to eat before we leave. Go make sure the removals' are ready to leave. Car, go eat." Leo said walking in.

I went into the kitchen and Tiff's mum was in there. "She has been up all night worried about you. She wants to stay in your room when we get there. Just for a while. She won't ask. She's terrified. Her brother raised his voice last night and she flinched. I know your suffering too. I could see it clearly. She just wants to make sure you're alright. She wants to help you." She turned then putting the plate in front of me.

"I want her to stay with me. I will be okay." I say to her. Once I had eaten Tiff and I climbed into Leo's car. I turned to our home to have one last look before we left. And drove off. Tiff fell asleep practically right away.

"How far away is this pack house?" I ask Leo.

"About three hours" he says.

"You doing okay Car? I know this is a bit to take in, but it will be okay." He tells me.

"I hope your right Leo."

Three hours later:

We pulled up to this massive mansion looking house. There was a middle aged man standing on the patio. Behind him was a woman of around the same age and a young man in his mid twenties. I woke Tiff up, she grabbed onto me and we got out of the car. Following Leo and Tiffs mum and brother up to the family. Tiff was scared of meeting new people. To be honest it wasn't my favourite activity either.

"Welcome!" A booming voice said. Tiff and I squealed and jumped. Startled by this noise. "I'm sorry girls I didn't mean to startle you. I'm Alpha Ben. Welcome to our pack house and to our pack"

"Thank you Alpha, I am Leo. This is my sister, Carly, her friend Tiff, Tiff's mother, Dana, Dana's eldest, Paul. Thank you for welcoming us into your home and pack."

"We don't want any trouble in our pack. We don't like trouble makers. And I won't stand for you causing trouble." This came from the alphas son. He was looking at me in disgust. "You let a pregnant slut in father."

What he said had made me feel cold and numb.

"Daniel!" Alpha Ben boomed at his son, anger clear on his face. "How dare you insult our new members. Did you not listen to me when I told you why they were coming? These are the girls that got kidnapped! As future alpha you must learn to listen and be considerate to the pack!"

"It's fine sir, I thought I would be judged like this. Judged before anyone bothered to ask me what happened. That I was kidnapped and raped. And due to that I am now having a child my doctor told me to get rid of. But I refused! So I am sorry for being such a slut Daniel." I said. Not knowing where this sudden strength came from. But feeling like I had been cut by knives.

"Come on dears I'll show you to your room. My name is Luna Eve. Please just call me Eve. I'm sorry for my son" she said leading us into the house. We went up three flights of stairs before coming to a stop in front of two doors.

"Carly, your room is on the left, Tiff, yours is on the right."

"It's okay if Tiff stays with me for a while right? I'd feel a lot better..."

"Of course dear. Please don't pay any attention to Daniel, he can be an idiot at times. Well get settled in. Lunch will be served at one. You can meet some of the pack then." Luna Eve said then walked away.

We went into my room and I crashed on the already made bed.

"What an ass"

"A cute ass" I mumbled in reply.

"Who was he to judge you like that? He doesn't know you. He has no idea what you went through." She rambled on.

"I know. I was expecting judgement but not to this extent. Wait, how did he know? It's not like Leo announced it."

"It's your smell. You smell of pregnancy." She says casually.

"Great. Just great. I thought I could get away with it for a few months but if they can smell it. Which is totally weird by the way. Can you smell it?"

"Yeah, I kinda knew. It's why I got protective of you just before we got found."

There was a knock at the door. "Come in" I said.

Daniel came through my door. "Carly, I would like to apologise for what I said. It was rude and hurtful. I shouldn't have judged you without knowing your circumstances. I hope you will forgive me." He said. He looked really apologetic.

"It's fine Daniel, thanks for your apology." I said smiling at him.

"I thought maybe we could go for a walk? I could show you around. If your bodyguard doesn't mind?"

Tiff giggled. "Sure, just don't do anything stupid alpha-wannabe." She joked.

"Sounds fun" I said. "Guess I'll see you at lunch Tiff." I walked out the door with Daniel.

He turned to me "I wanna show you something. I think you'll like it"

"Uh sure okay I guess" he takes my hand, tingles shooting down my arm. It felt so weird.

He took me outside and showed me the gardens. They were beautiful. I walked around sniffing all the different smells.

"This is amazing Daniel, thank you for showing me this."

"No problem Carly. This is my way of apologising for being a dick. I mean it, I am sorry" he said grabbing my hand.
