I get to the park and sit on a bench next to the path. A couple minutes pass until I see Sam...wearing a pretty blue top and jeans. She approaches the bench where I sit and sits down next to me. She looks as nervous as I am. This calms me a little.

"What do you want to do?" I finally ask.

"I don't know" she responds with a nervous edge in her voice.

"Are you hungry? W..we can get something to eat if you want" I manage to say.

"Yea...I'd like that" She says, looking at me. "Come on...I know a good place". She stand up and holds out her hand. I slowly take it,unable to hide the smile I show.

We walk, hands still together. I quickly notice this and let go with uncertainty. She smiles and blushes at this and takes my hand again. "Don't worry...I won't bite." She says and giggles slightly. I smile and we walk toward a nice little restaurant down the street from the park. I open the door and allow her to walk in first. "thank you." She says quietly.

We sit at a nice table by the window. A table for two.

After we eat,she pulls out her purse to pay for her meal and I say "I'll pay for you." She looks up at me "th..That's really kind of you..."

"It's nothing." I say as I pull out my wallet.

We walk out and see that it started to get dark. "I better take you home." I say looking at her. She looks back at me,looking a bit worried. I notice this and ask "Is something wrong?"

"No..Not really...I just...wanted to spend more time with you..." She looks down and blushes slightly. "C..can we meet up again sometime?" She asks, still looking at the ground as we walk. "How about tomorrow after school?" I suggest. "That would be nice" She smiles as we walk up to her front door. "I...I had a good time today..." She says as she looks up at me. "So did I".

She quickly kisses my cheek and runs into the house. I look at the door, dumbstruck as I think over what just happened in my head. I put my hand over the place her lips had been moments before. I slowly start walking back to the sidewalk. I look back at her house and see the curtains close quickly at the second floor. I then walk home, thinking of nothing, for the impossible has just happened.
