At least once in our lifetimes, we probably have gone through incidents that made us question 'Can a person change so drastically?' A question that Y/N thought through a lot.

She used to be a different kind of young woman. She used to be warm, sweet, caring. To be exact, she was living to make every single person she cared for happy. Her lips were always covered by a sweet and genuine smile. Fakeness wasn't in her dictionary. She was her real self and she never felt ashamed of it. She was simply herself.

However, it seems like life decided to pay her back. It came back at her just like a boomerang. A boomerang that didn't land on her feet, but on her face. And it hurt, bad.

She was forced to change. She was forced to become cold-hearted. She didn't want it, she really didn't. Nevertheless, she engulfed it duo her now lovely life. Note the sarcasm, please.

For one thing she was sure. It wasn't her fault and everyone had to deal with her new attitude now.

♥️Narrator's POV♥️

The clock that was casually laying over her drawer read 7:30 a.m.

Leaving her cosy bedclothes with a deep sigh, she tiptoed towards the bathroom as goosebumps made their way all over her skin. There was nothing worse for her than to leave her bed under such a heavy and cold weather. Unfortunately, she had to.

She brushed her teeth and entered the tub to take a hot shower. When she was done she exited, letting the water roll down her naked body. For some reason, she always hated the idea of a wrapped towel around her in order to remove the droplets of water.

She drowsily strode back in her room, reaching her underwear drawer. After she adorned her body with a set of white laces, she scooted closer to her wardrobe, trying to decide on today's outfit for work. She ended up wearing a pair of black tights, bright red, 8 inch high heels, a black skirt that was firmly touching her thighs and had a deep cut which was reaching her mid-thigh and a white, silky shirt which she hid underneath her long skirt, making her cleavage pop out.

Finishing off with her light, morning make-up, she brushed and tied her unruly and wavy hair in a chic, high ponytail and splashed her neck with a single dose of her flowery sweet and invading aroma. She hurriedly grabbed onto her black purse, her phone and her apartment's keys and made her way towards her beloved, white hyundai after she locked up. She totally declined the idea of taking her coat with her as she would fastly enter her car and then right away the company.

Buckling herself on the driver's seat, she turned on the A/C and switched on her radio, which filled the inside of the small space with soft music. Rubbing her palms together and blowing air between them in order to warm up, she finally took off.

The night before, it had snowed heavily so she kept on driving in a slow pace, just to be safe. She'd make it time anyways.

After about 15-20 minutes she reached the magazine company's parking lot where she parked her car neatly right next to her bestie's.

Turning the engine off and grabbing her stuff, she exited her vehicle and cursed while hurriedly making her way towards the main door. She should have taken her coat with her, after all. She only turned around fastly to lock her car, not entering through the huge, glassy, double doors before hearing the beeping sound.

The company isn't a big deal. Just an average magazine company. Your two hands are enough to count down the staff, however it had a high impact in the wider audience. The clients' impressions were something to brag about and that was something that was keeping the company at a very good and pretty high level.

Y/N made her appearance known as her heels started clicking down the freshly cleaned, marble floor. Multiple heads turned towards her figure as the continuous clinking of fingers over keyboard keys came to a halt.

♥️Y/N's POV♥️

The first one to come into my field of view was Stephanie. Her hair were tied back into an elegant low ponytail and her usual orange, matte lipstick that was developing her blond hairs' appearance, was adorning her lips. All I did was to give her a nod as a good morning, walking pass her.

Going ahead, I noticed Jimin almost running towards me with a bunch of papers in his small hand. His dark blue-grey hair bumping over his head all the way.

" Morning, Y/N! Have a good week! " He cheerfully waved at me in a hurry, a full smile of his in display.

I unwittingly cringed at the hilarity of his voice. Seriously, Park Jimin?

" Morning. Where are you heading? " I asked him, just to seem curious.

" Just some errands, no biggie! " He exclaimed, exiting.

Having now reached my own desk, I took my seat, turning my personal computer on first thing before making my way over Sunny's desk.

" Where have you been, girl? I was looking for you all day yesterday! Didn't you take my calls? " This was Sunny's way of greeting me.

" Morning, Sun! When I did, it was already night time. Sorry, I was busy. " I gave away a pout, melting her tantrum successfully.

" Forgiven! " She retorted with a low sigh, raising her palms in defense.

Tilting my head to the side, Yoongi's silver blond hair came in view. " Good morning, Yoongi oppa! How was your weekend? " I politely greeted him as he was the second oldest - after our boss.

" 'Morning! It was alright. I charged my batteries with lots of sleep. What about you, Y/N-ah? " He questioned me, taking a sip of his paper cup, probably full of coffee.

" Same. " Was all I replied, nodding in agreement.

Making my way back to my desk, I realised that there was a paper cup which was casually standing next to my mousepad. Sitting down to my comfortable chair, I took it in my hands and took off the lid, taking a sniff. Hot chocolate with caramel syrup. My favorite beverage of the winter. I instantly smiled.

" Thanks for the chocolate, Sunny! " I giggled, putting the lid back up.

" Well- I uh- didn't- em, bring it to you? " She answered, scratching the back of her neck.

" Then who did? " I wondered out loud, my brows crouching.

Just then, our boss's office door swang open to reveal him. My smile dropped immediately and my face's muscles hardened, just like my body's. I let the soothingly warm cup of chocolate down and our eyes locked for a second before he made his way over Yoongi's desk.

" Namjoon told me to send these via email by tomorrow. " His mellow voice boumed through my eardrums, bringing me headache.

Rising to my feet and grabbing hard onto the paper thin cup this time, I made my way towards the bin, throwing it away flawlessly. Making my way back to my desk, I noticed his pained expression. Paying no attention to it and the looks I gained from my friend and our boss's secretary, I began working, my eyes glued on the screen in front of me.

Did that hurt you, Jungkook? You know nothing about real pain!
