Reader x Qhono
It was with a restless heart you looked at how the Dothraki and queen Daenerys left for an attack on the moving Lannister army. You were a skilled warrior once, back in the day when you were under the lead of Dario Naharis and the second sons. Your husband learned you a great deal but after he passed away your focus went to healing animals. That is why you were here with Queen Daenerys, as a friend, an advisor, and an animal healer.
'They will come back.' Missandei comforted you. You grew quite attached to one of the Dothraki leaders, to your queen, the animals. When you looked up Viserion and Rhaegal were fighting over a fully grown sheep, you couldn't resist smiling. Knowing Drogon was leading that Dothraki army you felt a little comfort.
'They will come back.' You decided, turning around to Missandei. She laid her hand on your arm and smiled. 'He will come back to.' You softly reacted, knowing she was thinking about Grey Worm. Both of you always stayed behind and every time you both came together and waited, looking over the beach, the ocean, or just from out of the castle.
You couldn't miss the sound of the arriving horde from the queen. You rushed outside to foresee the damage that they affected but to your surplice, a whole part of the horde seemed good. Qhono rode in front and something of relief left your lips when you saw him. He slowed down his brown horse harshly and jumped off without even standing still beside you.
'How did it go?' You asked, not noticing Drogon or the queen.
'How do you think?' He spoke devious in his own tongue, passing you close from behind. 'We won.' He whispered, grabbing around your waist, leaving a squeeze before leading his horse away, leaving you with that tension down in your stomach. You turned around and looked at him, how he moved, walked and you swallowed before helping with the wounded horses. They all brought them into the stables where you could work the wounds. Some were too badly wounded, others made it with some scratches. 'Y/n.' You turned around to Qhono. 'The queen is asking for you.'
'Is it urgent, some horses,'
'it concerns Drogon.' He explained. You looked at him for a moment and he tilted his head, looking at how you were progressing that information. 'Are you gonna stand there watching me and let your queen wait or are you coming?' He asked in his common tongue. You learned their language a long time ago when you first met the queen. You bite your lip, grabbed your stuff, passing him out of the stables to where the queen her dragons often assemble. You stopped at the cliff top, watching Drogon before looking towards Daenerys and her new guest, Jon Snow. Qhono stopped behind you. His shoulder bumping in against yours.
'Is he wounded?'
'They had a weapon, strong arrows, he took a hit.' He answered. You looked over your shoulder to him, his head way was closer than you expected.
'Are you wounded?' You ask softly. He licked his lips and your eyes wandered off to it.
'Meet me tonight and I will show you my battle scars, prove you a Dothraki isn't easily killed.' His direct way of talking left you numb. They were well known for it, to act and talk directly but despite ... your throat dried out. He nodded towards Daenerys and you turned your head walking over to the queen while you crossed paths with Jon Snow, you nodded respectfully.
'My queen.' You started when you arrived. Drogon groaned, turning his imposing wings and body as his mother moved.
'What do you give horses when they are wounded?' She asked practically. You smiled a little when Drogon laid his head to rest aside Daenerys on the ground, he was so big.
'I make an ointment to ease the pain, to stop the infection.' You answered. Daenerys nodded and turned around to the dragon.
'He has been hit but he can't get to it on his own.' She explained, showing a massive hole in his shoulder-neck curves. 'Can you treat him?' She asked. You startled from Viserion who landed behind Drogon. Drogon on his turn roared aggressively and you swallowed.
'Yes, I think.' You muttered, looking up to the two dragons who were exchanging sounds with each other. Daenerys concentrated herself on Drogon and the dragon stretched his neck again, you slowly walked over to his neck.
'Watch out, they bite.' Qhono said from far behind, teasing you. Daenerys gave him a small grin before looking back to you. You stood still beside the dragon, looking to the enormous scales covering his body. Whatever weapon that was, it was powerful.
'He destroyed it.' Daenerys guessed your gaze on the wound. You grabbed the ointment and smeared it onto your fingers.
'I don't know in which way this will help him.'
'Healing hands always help.' Daenerys reacted. You looked to the dragon before putting your hand on the wound, he hissed, turning his head around to look at you with his dangerous big eyes.
'It's okay, I'm only helping.' You whispered like you were talking to a horse instead of a dragon. When you were done you turned back to Daenerys who had her hand on his enormous head.
'Acting like a child sometimes.' She smiled dearly, watching her son. You bowed, not wanting to disturb her moment. 'Y/n.' She said when you were planning on walking away. You turned around, frowned eyebrows. 'You are a free woman, you don't need my permission to take one of my men.' She said, without a smile, although her eyes were slightly amused. You looked over your shoulder to Qhono who was standing, awaiting orders.
'Thank you, my queen.' You bow and walked away. Was it that obvious?
