Kang young chul's p.o.v

I'm in my deathbed. My life is really at the end. All through this entire time I felt guilty towards one person. I have always wished if I could do more for her, but I think that will never compensate for the injustice that happened to her 9 years ago. I loved her like my own grand- daughter but couldn't adopt her thinking my family would never accept her and she would end up miserable as she used to be. But eventually I failed to protect her. If I had adopted her then would that possible for me to protect her? I did not know that she would become so dear to me when I first saw her almost 19 years ago in Kang Foundation Orphanage sitting alone in the garden.

"why are you sitting here alone?" I asked the little girl. "don't you wanna play with others?"

"nobody wants to play with me." She answered in a humble voice. She's around nine or ten same as my grandson's age but she was not like as a little girl around her age should be. Her eyes were full of loneliness and pain. It seemed like she never had a good childhood she deserves. That sight of her face somehow made me sad.

"why?" I asked

"because they're scared of me. They say my parents left me because I'm a monster. My classmates always call me 'monster'!"

Poor child! What would have happened with her, that she's saying such scary things!

..........................................................

"chairman! I didn't know you came. Sorry for keep you waiting." Said Ms. Song as soon as she entered her office. "do you want some coffee or tea?"

"no, I'm fine. How's everything going with orphanage?"

"everything is going good. Many children are getting adopted by very good family. Like you said, we checked their family background before handling adoption papers. Thanks to your support, the children are really doing well."

I smiled. "I don't do these things just to keep an image in the business industry. These children are gentle like flowers. They are little with pure heart. They do deserve a good world."

"I agree, chairman."

"by the way, I wanted to ask about a child. I saw her earlier today sitting alone in the garden"

"who?" she peeped through the window to look at the garden. "oh, you mean Tae Zing? I was going to talk about her, actually. She was transferred from 'little tulip orphanage' two months ago because she has some issues."

"what is it?"

"she has some kind of disorder. She was abandoned by her parents while a baby and lacked parental love. she suffered from severe inferiority complex from time to time and that has turned into a disorder. If she is provoked, she gets aggressive and loses her mind. Then, it becomes impossible to control her. That's why all the children avoid her. Nobody wants to even share a room with her. She's almost going isolated!"

"Had she ever received any counselling or therapy sessions before?"

"no, sir. As you know little tulip is a small orphanage. They lack budget deficit issues most of the time, no proper facilities. I bet she became like this due to lack of proper care. We arranged a counselling session for her last week, but she got scared and run away."

"that's really sad of her. She's so young still she had to go through such harsh childhood."

"I feel so upset for her too. She has a sharp mind; her IQ is high also. But I'm afraid nobody will be willing to adopt her for disorder issues. We need your help to solve this, sir."

"okay. Send me her files from the previous orphanage. I will look into it."

My heart was really broken. My grandson is around her age. He was raised with so much affection and comfort meanwhile Tae Zing went through sufferings due to lack of care. I wondered why God let her to suffer like this?
