Tae Zing's P.O.V

Ji-hoon entered his office.

"Oh my--- you scared me." he got startled seeing me sitting in his office. "What are you doing here?"

"I thought you have a lot to ask after the meeting so, I came here personally." I ushered towards the couch in front of me. He sat on the couch in front of me.

"How were you doing?" I asked him.

"So, you knew about grandpa, right?" he asked instead of answering my question. "you even sent your condolence bouquet."

"yes."

"Then why didn't you show up at the funeral?"

"I did. But watching it from far. Do you think I will show up off guard? I even visited the hospital before your arrival."

"Then, I hope grandpa felt peace in his last moments. He loved you dearly."

"Fortunately, I made it in time otherwise I would have regretted it."

He paused for a while and asked, "your family.......... when did you find them?"

"Three months back."

"what? Three months back? I thought you found quite a while since you were working at the USA branch for 2 years."

"Dae-Hyun oppa was indeed the one who recommended me to join the company, but I didn't know that he was my brother. He left a letter for me to the chairman. Secretary Gong handed me after his death. Apparently, oppa knew that I am his half-sister since middle school. I realized my father was nothing but a Despicable man. My mother was his secret wife."

"Secret wife?"

He had an affair with my mom. She was a simple ordinary woman compared to his family status and that is why he kept the secret about her. But eventually, he was married off to a rich family. One day my mom got pregnant with me. She wanted him to take responsibility because she never wanted to remain as his mistress, and he had to marry her secretly because of his family's reputation. But unfortunately, my mom died while giving me birth, and do you know what my father did? He abandoned me. He simply got rid of me by leaving me at the orphanage just to save his so-called elite family's reputation or should I say just to clean his mess. Oppa knew about it somehow and kept looking for me but he couldn't muster the courage to say the truth because he felt sorry for me and was ashamed of his father at the same time. That's why he transferred all his shares to me. But one thing I must say. Karma is a real bitch. he abandoned his daughter and let her lead a miserable life but now he's in a worse condition for losing his son and there is no one to take over the company except for his abandoned daughter."

"Don't do this, Tae Zing."

"Pardon?''

''Don't take over 'Elegance'. You don't know the high officials of MK Corporation. They have a lot of ways to hurt you. I guess you are aware of what it could be."

"Do you think I'm here to hear your opinion?"

''I'm just warning you not to go against chairman Moon. You will end up hurting yourself."

"I should better go. I'm just hurting my ears by hearing nonsense." I got up from the couch and was about to go towards the door; Ji-hoon grabbed my arm from behind. ''Have you forgotten about what you did to Yu Ri?" his voice was a little furious.

''What are you trying to say?" he simply attacked me by bringing up the past.

"you know what I'm saying. Do you think chairman Moon will slide the matter after realizing that you tried to kill his daughter nine years ago?"

"You----- are you now threatening me?" I let go of his hand off my arm.

"it's not a threat. I'm saying this for your good.''

"Since when did you started to concern about me? You're doing this for . You are simply clearing her way after all she's the person you blindly care about."

"how come you always misinterpret me like this? I know what you have been through because of your father and I'm sorry for that but try to understand---"

"I don't want to hear from you anymore." I stopped him. "Last thing I will say that I will take over the at all means. After all, it belongs to Wangs or more precisely to my brother."

"And more precisely 'Elegance' under control of MK Corporation. Even if you are the heiress of the Wang family but it will not change the fact that you are an ex-convict for the attempted murder of Yu Ri. The board won't let it slide if they knew about this."

"Enough!" I yelled. "you have said enough. Have you ever tried to know what exactly happened that day? You just believed what you saw without giving me a chance to explain myself. Let me tell you one thing my past won't be able to bring me down I can guarantee that. You will see that in the meeting.'' I turned around and opened the door.

"I won't side with you whatever happens."

I sighed. "I never expected you to be. You have never been there for me. But I bet you will be sure in a dilemma in the meeting." I got out of his office. I was trying to take deep breaths. Mentioning the past always led me to panic attacks. I felt like breathing is blocked by something. That jerk just dug up my scars. I can't believe he's still a clueless person as he used to be. He's so blind about Yu-ri that even after these years he's still stuck with belief that I tried to hurt her.

Kang Ji Hoon's P.O.V

I did not want to hurt her but she left me no choice but to bring up the past. The past was something that can't be overlooked when I by myself witnessed her let go of Yu- Ri's hand from the window of the first floor and she fractured her arm and legs because of her. The sour relationship between us will not go easily. The company is already in chaos and I don't want her to worsen the situation by going against Chairman Moon. It won't bring her any good and I don't wish to go against him. The Moon family is the most influential in MK Corp and getting on their bad side will bring my own family to a bad situation. My hands are tied. There's nothing I could do with my own choice.
