The day arrived for us the find the gender of Baby O'Malley, we both were very excited. We scheduled an appointment during lunch so it couldn't affect our work schedule or the hours we are getting. "Today's the day are you excited?" Izzie asked us. "I know I am, team girl!" I exclaimed. "Team Girl." Izzie, Meredith and Cristina said together. The day started out slow but went by quickly with work keeping us busy and not too anxious on the upcoming appointment. When noon hit, George and I headed to the appointment hand in hand smiling as we go. Dr. Fields was ready for us when we arrived, she had all the machines cleaned and ready to go. "Are you guys ready to know?" She asked us. "Oh yeah definitely!" We both said at the same time laughing. "Okay here we go." She replied putting the gel on my belly finding the baby and zooming in. "Congratulations it's a girl!" She exclaimed pointing to the screen. "A girl oh my gosh I was right!" I said looking at George. "A girl!" He managed to get out in tears. When the appointment was over, we opened the door to leave and there was Meredith, Izzie, Callie, Arizona, April, Cristina, even Alex, nurse Olivia and Lexie waiting on the news. "Ready?" George asked me. "It's a girl!" We shouted out. Cheers and excitement rang out in the hallway along with hugs from everyone. "It's a girl for us too." She exclaimed to us smiling at Arizona. "Yay congrats." I replied giving her a hug. George and I went back to work busying ourselves but still excited, once we got home we discussed names trying to find something to fit with O'Malley. We wanted to wait until she's born to announce the perfect name we came up with.
