Hopeless Romantics

I love Celene. I really do love her. And I know she loves me. I just feel terrible loving her when I know I'm in love with someone else. 

Waking up next to her felt wrong. She had recently moved in with me and although I was skeptical about it, I let it happen.

I looked down at her pale face as she woke up, smiling at me. Her big, brown eyes glared up at me and her light brown hair was messy.

"Stop staring," She playfully pushed my face away.

"I can't help it. You're so sexy," I kissed her. 

"That's bullshit."

"No it's not. Why do you put yourself down like that?"

"I don't know. I just don't think I'm that pretty."

"You are."

"What are we doing today?"

"We have that double date with Katherine and Louis today."

"Oh right."

"Actually if we don't start getting ready right now we'll be late."

I decided to wear a short sleeved button-up with black slacks. I waited for Celene downstairs when I was done. She came down wearing a short, purple, off the shoulder dress and black flats. Her hair was curled and she wore a simple, nude makeup look on her face.

"You look gorgeous," I admired her, "but we're just going to Katherine's house," I laughed, "You didn't need to get all dressed up." I put my arm around her.

When we got to Katherine's house, Louis opened the door wearing nothing but swim trunks.

"Shit I forgot we were swimming," Harry said.

"It's fine," Louis smiled, "You can just borrow something."

We came inside. Katherine came in through the back door to greet us. She was wearing a dark red bikini.

"Hey guys!" She said as she ran up to Celene and hugged her. She gave me hug too but it was shorter and friendlier than usual.

"I'm sorry we forgot to wear our bathing suits," Celene said to her.

"You can borrow one of mine," Katherine said and Celene followed her upstairs.

Louis let me borrow his Iron Man swim trunks and we waited for the girls in the pool.

"So how was your trip?" I asked him.

"It was so great," Louis grinned, "We had a lot of fun."

"That's good," I probably sounded really fake. I was super jealous.

The girls shortly came outside and got into the pool with us. Celene was wearing a baby blue bikini with white polka dots. 

"You look so sexy," Louis said as he pulled Katherine close to him.

"It's cause of the red isn't it," She smiled.

"It helps."

I couldn't help but stare at Katherine's gorgeous body, wishing she could be mine. Celene didn't notice as she was in deep conversation with Katherine. I watched as Katherine's charming smile grew bigger and her beautiful laugh filled the air. 

"Harry!" Louis shouted trying to get my attention.

"What?"

"Did you even hear what I said?"

"No."

"Stop staring at Celene for one second," He laughed but then his voice got quieter, "I said I want to ask Katherine to marry me."
