Chapter 26: Back to Home

Y/n's POV

10:48PM |At the Palace|

...

"Report to me as soon as you get the information. Understood?"

"Yes, your highness."

"You may leave now."

Those faint familiar voices woke me up, I couldn't hear very well whatever their conversation was. The last thing I remember was i'm in the car with those two men who said that they will help and then the bullets, screams and then I suddenly felt weak because of the very bad smell that got stucked in my nose then I passed out. I wanted to open my eyes to see these people, to see if where I am right but I can't it feels so heavy, I still feel dizzy and numb,I couldn't move any part of my body, what happened? Where am I?

"Your highness.."

"Yes?"

"Um, about Y/n..."

"What about her?"

Wait, that voice. I know that voice, it's Jin! Am I finally at home now?

"I--"

"Y/n?" Jin's soothing voice rang in my ears as I finally managed to open my eyes slowly and squinted it a bit as I adjusted from the bright light above me, everything's blurred and spinny at first until it slowly became clear, i'm in my room. There I see my halmoni, Sunny, Namjoon oppa, Jimin, Mr Chung, Emperor Kim, and Jin. All eyes on me helding only one emotion, worried. A wave of relief washed over me knowing that i'm finally safe now but as the same time feeling guilty for causing a trouble again. Why am I always causing trouble? I thought to myself and avoided their gaze, I couldn't look straight in their eyes, even to Sunny. I really felt embarrassed for myself being careless to the point that I want to disappear in the air. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't noticed Jin and my halmoni's presence sitting on both side of my bed until i'm startled when my halmoni held my left hand while Jin held my right hand making me looked at them again.

"Y/n dear, thank god you're finally awake." She said bringing my hands up to her lips while tears streaming down on her face and right at that moment I couldn't hold back my emotion and cry with her.

"I'm sorry." I said but the sound of my voice turns out into whisper as my throat felt dry, I gulped my saliva in order to remove the dryness in my throat but it didn't work. "Water." I managed to say between my cough and Jin immediately snaked his hand on my back supporting me to sit up and handed me a glass of water, I handed it back after gulping down the whole water, he scooted beside me and made my body leaned on his chest. "I'm sorry." My voice finally came out well, I looked down to my lap biting my quivering lower lip preventing the sob from escaping, trying to cry silently as I can. I heard the emperor let out a heavy sigh before speaking.

"Y/n my child, don't be sorry it's not your fault. What's important to us is you're safe now." He said which gave me the courage to looked at him giving me the assuring and comforting smile and that's the time I closed my eyes and my sob came out, more warm tears escaped from eyes, I don't know how can I repay their kindness towards me. I opened my eyes and looked at Jin when I felt his warm hand wiping my tears away.

"Jin..." I said, he didn't say anything and pulled me into his embrace, I let my body sinked to its warm and snaked my hands on his torso as I hugged him back. I was so scared that I thought I wouldn't get to see them again.

"It's already late at night. Y/n dear, we'll going to talk about this tomorrow morning. You should take a rest." I heard the emperor said after looking down to his watch to check the time, I looked over my shoulder to see them, he looked at rest and they all nodded as they agree.
