The Spirit of Rebellion

Aftermath

<3rd person P.O.V>

Waking up with an excruciating head ache Shido was trying to remember what had happened. The last thing he remembers was the sound of a cell door swinging open as he flew toward Kotori's attack watching as realization of what she was about to do snapped her out of her rage before everything went black.

Looking around Shido noticed he was in his room and it was morning. Looking at the window he wondered out loud "was... was that a dream? Or... ugh my head." Suddenly the door to his room flew open and Tohka was standing there with a tray of food, with a few bites missing, she was also looking at the food as if she wanted to eat the rest of it but instead walked over to the desk and put the tray down....

She also took a little bit of food saying to herself "it's fine he doesn't need to know..."

Shido watched confused before he finally decided to speak up. "Uh... Tohka?"

That was all Shido managed to get out when Tohka's head snapped towards him before she ran at him yelling "Shido you're awake!" And slamming into his stomach knocking the wind out of him.

"Ugh..." Shido grunted in pain as Tohka quickly got off of him.
Now in less pain Shido looked at Tohka and asked "Tohka what happened? Where is Kotori? Where is Mana? And what happened to Kurumi and Kuro?"

Tohka simply sighed and said " well you were knocked unconscious by Kotori's attack, as for Kotori she is being held in an other room right now because of her spirit powers. Kurumi escaped along with Kuro, and Akira, and Mana is in the medical place with the sleepy lady I think her name is Reine."

Shido stayed silent as his assumptions were correct about the spirits identities, as he thought on it he suddenly remembered that Tohka was dragged into that door thing with Mana and Origami, and proceeded to ask "Are you ok Tohka? What about Origami? Can you tell me what happened in that door?"

Tohka stayed silent before answering "Tobichi... doesn't remember anything that happened in there, and don't worry about me Shido you were the one that was injured. And I can't clearly remember what happened inside I just remembered a lot of blue."

Shido stared at Tohka for a bit and realized something. She was lying. Shido realized this because Tohka for one didn't mention anything about food, and seemed to think carefully on what she said which was odd especially for Tohka. Another thing was the fact that Tohka while she answered him looked at him only for what she said about Origami, but after that she kept looking away or slightly shivering.

Shido would question her but he knew better than to agitate a spirit and decided against thinking 'She will tell me when she is ready.'

Shido shook his head and said "well, I guess there is no use sitting around Tohka can you take me to go see Kotori?"

Tohka simply nodded quickly and ran off while Shido trailed behind her thinking on what to do about the three spirits. He was also thinking about Kurumi's words to him. What did she mean he would need their help? Another thing on his mind was what she said in regards to him saving them they have been doing just fine without him... 'if anything they are doing better because I haven't sealed them yet...' suddenly he looked up and saw Kotori sitting on a couch behind a large one way glass window.
As he neared the window he noticed Reine standing next to a terminal and was looking at something before she looked up and said "oh Shin your up... I was waiting for you listen... I need you to listen very carefully... you need to seal Kotori's spirit power as fast as possible do you understand?  Her body cannot take the power that comes from her spirit power at this rate of she is not sealed within the next two days she will not be able to control her power anymore and go on a rampage which will in turn strain her body to the extremes most likely killing her in the process. I have already arranged a date for you the day after tomorrow make sure you prepare and not get distracted understand Shin?"

Shido could only stare at Reine as the information processed in his head. He looked at her and said "I understand but what about the other three spirits? And Mana, and Origami?"

Reine looked at him and then looked at the door which she had told Tohka to wait behind while Shido was lost in his thoughts. She then turned to Shido and said "the three spirits Nightmare, Assassin, and Trickster vanished shortly after they escaped. Just today I received word that they have resumed working at that cafe as if nothing happened they are not even trying to hide anymore, yet their spirit powers are well hidden. Origami Tobichi was escorted to the hospital and has no recollection of what had happened aside from the fact that she remembers a fire spirit showing... that would be Kotori. As for Mana we managed to find files of the experiments conducted on her in order to make her the best wizard yet shortened her lifespan tremendously yet when we checked her everything seemed to be normal aside from an abnormal energy that is inside her similar to a spirits power... she also had these"

Reine reached into her coat pocket and pulled out three cards they depicted a devil smiling sinisterly, a woman holding open the mouth of a lion yet it looked backwards for some reason and the third card depicted a man carrying a stick with a cloth tied at the end each card had a different number on it the numbers being 0, 8, and 15.

As Shido held the three cards Reine continued "after analyzing these cards they have a faint spirit like aura about them that is barely noticeable just like the one inside Mana and after further tests they all most likely originated from Trickster. This is most likely related to his abilities yet we don't know their purpose.... and Tohka also has a similar spirit reading, not only that her power was increased and fortified and we know she knows something yet refuses to speak it seemed she was about to at one point when suddenly her voice wouldn't come out... we think that the spirit's power is keeping her from talking about him. Right now we can only rely on Mana for information we just hope she will be able to tell us.

Shido stayed quiet and continued staring at the cards when suddenly from the corner of his eye he sees Kotor stand up and walk toward the window before speaking "Hey Shido, I have a feeling your there right now... if you are I just want to say, you better try big bro. If you don't you'll be my first target when I can't control it anymore so stop thinking of useless things and focus on our mission to save spirits!"

Reine simply looked at Shido and waited.

After a bit of time passes Shido looks up and said "Reine let us prepare for the date."
