Blind Sided (Draco Malfoy Love Story)

Chapter Three.

Aster and I were in the library so she could help me study for my OWLs and also help me finish some assignments for all of my classes. Between assignments and studying we were joking around and talking about who we thought would end up as a couple before the end of the school year and possibly before Christmas since winter was on it's way.

"I bet you and Malfoy will end up together, I see the way he looks at you." Aster smirks at me

I scoff, "Draco doesn't look at me in any way, he's my best friend there's nothing else to it."

"Oh don't play that game, don't think I haven't seen the way YOU look at him." she nudges my shoulder and winks

I don't reply rather I roll my eyes in response to her, absolutely ridiculous that she could ever think that Draco and I would date. Sure he made that comment about me looking good in anything but he hasn't said or done anything else but granted that was just the other day so it's not like much of anything could happen anyways. Aster and I finish our studies just in time for lunch and head off to the Great Hall so we could have a much needed break after hours of homework.

As per usual I sit beside Draco while we eat and everyone is talking about how they're looking forward to going to Hogsmeade soon and what sweets they planned to get. But our conversations got cut short when we overheard McGonagall, Snape, and Umbridge prompting everyone to get up and see what was going on out there. Everyone watched in silence as they all spoke together well more so argued with each other, McGonagall was going off on Umbridge for how she punished both Potter and I. Everyone wasn't surprised that McGonagall was willing to call Umbridge out for it but I was surprised to see Snape with them too since I assumed that he just would've spoken to her privately but apparently not.

"Things at Hogwarts are far worse than I feared," Umbridge took a step up, "Cornelius will want to take immediate action."

I tugged on Draco's shirt so we could go back to sitting down to finish eating our lunch, things are going to get so much worse if Umbridge takes over at school. I doubt anyone will be able to stop her from her horrid form of punishments for students, I don't even know when my hand is going to heal from "writing lines"

"Seronia what was your punishment exactly that had McGonagall confront Umbridge like that?" Draco asks me

I shake my head as I take my seat and continue eating in silence refusing to answer her questions, everyone else sat down with us and watched me eat.

"Ser, show me." Draco grabs my bandaged hand and starts unwrapping it.

I try to pull my hand away from him but he steadied it with his other hand and pulls it away to reveal my cut hand saying "I must not tell lies" the entire friend group gasps and some "Bloody hell."

"Seronia, you need to tell Dumbledore!" Aster practically shouts at me

"My best guess is that if McGonagall knows then Dumbledore knows too and he clearly isn't doing nothing about it." my reply comes out snarkier than I intended.

"Still you should tell him!" Aster presses

"Aster, if you keep pressing me about this I swear to Salazar! I'm not telling Dumbledore and that's that." I snap at her and then stuff my face with food.

I glance over at Potter who was watching and saw him mouth the words "are you okay?" while holding up his own cut hand, I barely nod my head before turning my attention back to my friends. Aster was fretting over the cuts and Draco just asked me if I was okay as he rewrapped my hand in the bandage, the whole time my heart beating faster as I tried to act like everything was okay.
