One year later
Kar's PoV
Vicki and me were waiting backstage for DD to welcome us into his Candid chat show.
"Welcome to Candid everybody!!!! The show where actors become candid like you've never seen before. Today we have the two youngest sensational superstars of B-town.Most of their movies have become box-office numbers. They are both very talented.They are gems of Bollywood. Let's welcome the most talented Kartik Varma and Vicki Kapoorrr...!!!!"

"Welcome to the show boys." DD says as he gestures us to enter into the hall 

"Always a pleasure."I say as I shake hands and hug DD 

"Thanks " Vicki says doing the same thing as me.

"So you guys excited?? Well I am because I have lots of surprises planned.Hope you guys are ready."

"When you say it like that it kind of scares me now." Vicki says laughing 

"Soo let's start the show shall we." 

We sat on the couch and talked about ourselves and about our upcoming movies and projects.

"Okay we got to know about your projects. Now it's time to get personal. So Vicki do you have a girlfriend that I should know about. hmm" Vicki shakes his head no."Looks like Vicki is not going to be giving us any deets so Kartik I heard that you married earlier this year to your girlfriend." I nodded my head indicating yes."Tell us about her."

"Well you must already know about her, she was 6-year girlfriend turned wife. Her name is Shivani and she has nothing to with our film industry. She is a lawyer and is working with Rahul my brother in our law firm. I met her in law school during our 1st year but I dropped out soon after that she continued and got her degree.She is my No.1 critic, fan my supporter , my bestfriend pretty much my everything."

"Ohh that's so sweet now let's see what she has to tell about you shall we. On to the screen."

"Shivani you know that Kartik is coming as a guest to Candid right" Shivi nods her head "So I wanted ask you somethings about him if that's alright."

"Okay first we'll start with some basic questions"

"He is different when he is outside and when he is at home.The thing is that you guys know him as poised,stylish guy Kartik but when he is at home he becomes the total opposite funny, childish, prankster etc."

"Kartik and childish can't believe it."

"See that's just something you don't know about him.He's gonna kill me for saying this but it's cute. When he gets sick is the worst time to be at home. When he gets sick he becomes worse than the toddler in our house our nephew. He won't leave the bed until he is sure that the virus has left his body. He becomes Granny's baby boy when he gets sick , so Rahul and me tease him by acting how he acts when he gets sick, at the time some how Granny will appear and scold us for teasing him.And she'll also end up laughing along with us. It's really cute you know and the fact that nobody will be able to believe that THE KARTIK VARMA is like this. This why I really love him."

"The pleasure was all mine. Sorry Baby and Happy Birthday!!!" she says holding her ears.

"So Kartik what do you have to tell. Anything... Is it your birthday today??"

 Suprised and speechless was what I was feeling I didn't think that she would tell that secret of all other things she has to say. "Nope I'm speechless..... Yeah today is my birthday.Today is going to be my first birthday where she won't be there with me, she gone out of town for a meeting with Rahul." 

"Now it's time for you answer some questions about your wife. Ready??" DD asks I nod my head

"She is not a morning person. She hates getting up in the morning. She would stay up all night but morning nope. Hates Mornings"

Shiv's PoV

Today is Karti's birthday and I was waiting backstage of Candid to give him a surprise planned by DD and me. I'll just have to wait till they finish their game and it's time for my entry.

"Oh my gosh this was amazing I had sooo much fun." Vicki says laughing 

"Now I have one more surprise for you Kartik !!!" DD says 

All of a sudden the lights, DD comes towards me and lends me his hand , I place my hand in his extended one and walk out from behind the wall as the spotlight falls on me. As I walk towards Kartik I see his eyes bulging out of their sockets. I move towards him and say "Happy birthday Karthi !!" and I shake hands with Vicki as well

"You're here I thought you said that you won't be able to make today, then how come you are here."

"That's what called a surprise isn't it. I know I was supposed to come next week but then Rahul allowed me to come home early so I thought I'll surprise you."

"This is my surprise for you Karthik. I knew how much you wanted her by your side, so when she suggested such an idea I thought why not do it. "

"Thank you DD, Thank you Shivi" he says kissing my cheek. "Okay Okay enough PDA let's cut the cake shall we "   

  He cuts the cake while we sing him happy birthday and he feeds the cake to me and  hands over a piece to both Vicki and DD. Looking at him so happy I think about all those things that we had gone through the past year and I feel so lucky to have him by my side and just like Sona once said I am just a girl and he is the star.
