Chaeyoung's POV

Even having been here before this place will never fail to impress me. I mean what can you say? Not only are we in France, but we're in the city of love Paris. I almost laugh at myself because of my own thoughts, who am I kidding am I ever going to find love? Moreover, do I even deserve it? Honestly, I feel bad for whoever loves me. Suddenly I feel someone jump on my back, distracting me from my inner turmoil.

"Come on Chae, you shouldn't have such a sad look on your face. We're in such a beautiful city," Lisa huffs out. Laughing I turn my head to look at her.

"You're just imagining it, Lis. Plus that doesn't mean you should hop on my back. I'm getting old, my back might break one day," I joke somewhat seriously.

"Yeah right the moment I'm old you can consider ourselves old, we're practically the same age I still consider myself a kid at times," Lisa retorts as she pinches my cheek. Trying my best I use my hand to swat her's away, being careful not to drop her.

"That's because you are, must be nice to be so young."

"Are you indirectly calling me old?"

"No, I told you already you're still a kid. I'm just saying that you add on countless years to my life."

"Yah! That's rude. Then you should be older than Jisoo."

"Who you calling old?!?" Jisoo asks, seemingly out of nowhere making Lisa jump off my back. Thank god for Jisoo.

"Nothing nothing, unnie. Definitely nothing," Lisa stammers whilst waving her hands in front of her making Jisoo squint at her in suspicion. Being too preoccupied watching the two banter like no tomorrow I barely feel an arm over my shoulders.

"Are you excited? This is like our 3rd time in Paris," Jennie asks at my side, as I vigorously nod trying to keep the energy high, there's no point in being a debbie downer.

"The city of love, what more could you ask for," I replied slightly chuckling.

"Maybe we could go out together," Jennie says with a small smirk. Feeling heat rise to my cheeks my hand shoots up to cover most of my face. "Come on, it'll be a bonding experience," Jennie adds on, her tone more playful now.

"Maybe if our schedule allows us to," I barely manage to say. Instantly Jennie's eyes seemed to light up and she clapped her hands together.

"Perfect!" Instead of saying anything, I shoot her a fond smile. Happy Jennie is the bet version of Jennie.

Third Person POV

The nerves embody Chaeyoung and her very soul again. It's nothing new, always getting cold feet right before a performance, but this time Chaeyoung was afraid. She is afraid of the love that she already felt was radiating from the fans. Cheesy, she thinks, but for some reason, she could indeed feel it. To her it was misplaced love, she didn't and doesn't deserve it. What deja vu, she thinks to herself once again. Deciding that she would give her fans the best show  to the best of her abilities as Rosé, Blackpink's main vocalist. No one here needs to see Chaeyoung or Roseanne, they came to see Lisa, Jennie, Jisoo, and Rosé. Gently pushing her in-ear in she closes her eyes just like every time, and collects herself.

"For as long as I'm on stage I am Rosé of Blackpink, give those waiting fans the best show of their lives."

"Jennie! You're legitimately the one that planned this. We're gonna be late!" Chaeyoung says loudly huffing as she adjusts her tan jacket. At first, the blonde thought that Jennie and she were going to go somewhere casual like a coffee place or something, but she was so wrong. Apparently, Jennie got the chance to book a fancy restaurant that you have to make reservations weeks in advance before going. "Well, when you're a big idol that rule doesn't apply to you I guess," the girl mutters to herself fiddling with her hands. A few more minutes of uncertain fidgeting and the silence makes Chaeyoung uncomfortable as she practically stands by the doorway doing nothing, but wait. Finally, the girl lets out a sigh and opens her mouth to say something to voice her impatience if anything, but the words seemed to get stuck in her throat. Right before her was a literal goddess dressed in a pretty white dress. It clung onto the girl's figure nicely and really complimented her. It was so simple, but yet it almost made Chaeyoung's heart drop, and suddenly she feels a bit self-conscious, was she underdressed? Don't get her wrong Chaeyoung was dressed in an elegant white chiffon blouse with a ribbon bow tie around the collar, followed by a long tan coat. She had the white blouse tucked into a black pleated skirt, it looked nice, but something about comparing herself to Jennie feels that it wasn't nice enough. A giggle broke her out of thought and she looks up from her coat still fidgeting to meet the dark pools that are Jennie's eyes. Instead of saying anything Jennie links her arm into Chaeyoung's and leads her towards the door.

"You look nice Chaeyoung, don't worry," Jennie assures the girl as they wait for their managers to bring the car.

Chaeyoung chuckles lightly, "Says the goddess, people are gonna stare you know."

"Good thing that's all they're going to do because it just so happens that I'm on a date with you," Jennie says smugly.

"Date? I guess you could call it a date," Chaeyoung responds nonchalantly. In all honestly, she didn't know where that confidence came from but at the mention of the date, her heart warmed a little. The heart that was barely holding onto life.

"I swear this is gonna be the best date you'll ever have," Jennie remarks pulling the taller girl with her towards the waiting car.

"Jen, I haven't been on many dates. It's gonna be too easy to beat."

"Yeah well, it's the thought that counts."

"Yeah yeah if you say so," Chaeyoung says, giving in.

Dinner wasn't so bad, it was just full of shy touches and eye contact, small talk at that.

"Hey Jen, let's go somewhere. It's getting a little boring," Chaeyoung says with a small smile as she swiftly gave their waiter her card, her other hand blocking Jennie from paying. Eventually, the raven haired girl gave up and let the younger pay for her, puffing.

"Yeah sure," and with that Chaeyoung shot up from her seat, interlocking their hands and proceeds to drag Jennie along with her. Unknowingly to Chaeyoung, Jennie was startled at the girl's sudden excitement and couldn't help but admire her as she was helplessly being dragged along. How could someone's back be so pretty? Jennie thinks quietly enjoying their skinship. Honestly, she was worried about the bubbly girl in front of her, everyone was and is. But tonight wasn't meant forworrying, tonight is a fun night to let Chaeyoung relax a little, Jennie thinks as she continues to space out in her head.

"Isn't it pretty?" Chaeyoung's angelic voice snapped Jennie out of thought, and she finally took the time to admire where the were. Before her were scattered lights of various houses, the dark blue sky contrasting with the,, and from where they were standing the Eiffel Tower was fully on display. From what Jennie could tell the two were on a roof area of some sort. "Come sit with me unnie." And Jennie does exactly that, she sits on a ledge right next to Chaeyoung.

"You know Jen," Chaeyoung starts after a few seconds of staring out at the night sky, "I'm really glad I have you in my life. You have no idea how grateful I am that you saw me all those years ago when I was just Roseanne from Australia. These days I don't know, I feel like such a burden you know? Like Blackpink would be better off with someone else, like I don't deserve what I have now, like I don't deserve you." Chaeyoung finishes by releasing a breath and glances at Jennie for some sort of reaction whether it be good or bad. Jennie's lips were pressed into a thin line, her intimidating eyes bore into Chaeyoung's before softening at the latter's expression.

"You are one of the best things that has ever happened to me," it was short and sweet, but the simple sentence made Chaeyoung's heart swell with happiness. Shyly, the blonde moves her hand towards the older girl's and softly interlocks their fingers. Jennie turns her head, a grin evident on her face and pecks Chaeyoung's cheek, moving to lean her own head against the flustered girl's shoulder.

"Chaeyoung-ah, the view is really beautiful, but to me you outshine it. You always will be the brightest view of my life."
