Today was a tranquil day at the base, but who knows Decepticons can some at any moment and kill us all. I'm not worried though, and the Autobots are on our side. We as humans don't deserve them. They have fought and almost gave their lives to use. I feel greedy almost to even say that I am friends with them, not vocally but mentally. It's almost as if saying you are friends with an angel. Anyways back in reality and not my mind. Optimus, and I stayed with Ratchet at the base. All the bots were out with their charges. I was bored, Optimus was busy being a leader of the Autobots.

Optimus has always been a leader. Through thick and thin, he has always found a solution to any problem. But at times, I can tell there is a deeper problem he can't solve, and I know it has to do with Megatron. Optimus has told me of his and Megatrons past, he and the brute seemed like good friends, but it all came crashing down the minute The High Autobot Council found Optimus worthy of leadership.

I felt terrible for his past. He nor Megatron deserved this. It's almost like fate decided to play its cards and choose the worse scenario yet. I sat on the couch in the human area, reading a book about a couple who faced hardships. Who knew relationships could be so hard? Well, Optimus and Megatron know.

I let out a loud sigh, thinking of Optimus's past. I quickly got up and headed to the elevator in need of clearing my thoughts. In the corner of my eye, I saw Optimus look away from the monitor screens at the sound of the elevator's door opening. I pressed a button that closed the elevators door. Sighing once more, I take out my phone to distract myself from the rest of the world. I started to watch my favorite show, (Y/F/S). The tiny screen made it harder to see from it, but I had to make it with what I got. Ratchet would kill me if I used the loud old TV downstairs.

The elevators door opened as I lifted my eyes from the screen. I walked out of the large elevator and headed to who knows where. I saw a rock that covered me from the sun mostly and decided to sit there. I leaned into the rock for comfort, but again it's a rock, so not much comfort was there to begin with. My cheeks heated up as my favorite character came onto the scene. People teased me, saying I was obsessed with the character.

He wasn't all that different from Optimus. I started to imagine that the was Optimus and not the actor when watching the show. As I continued to watch, I failed to notice the significant figure approaching me. My focus snapped as I heard the sounds of a giant hissing coming beside me. You looked up to see it was Optimus.

"Hello Rose"

"Oh hey, McPrime."

He chuckled lightly at the nickname. Ever since I met Optimus, he and I became inseparable. Me, Jake, Raf, and Miko have been friends since I moved to Jasper. I never guessed I would be friends with an enormous alien robot, but hey, I rather have this than be at home watching tv doing nothing. I had been walking in the forest when I heard Miko's voice but also someones whom I didn't recognize. I walked towards the sounds to see Miko talking to a giant green robot!? My first instinct told me to run, but my body froze. Silently I walked back only to step on a fallen branch behind me. Miko snapped her head towards me, seeing who the culprit was. Though I was supposed to be afraid, I could not bring myself to feel the said emotion.

I smiled a little, walking forward a few steps to get a better look. Miko smiled at my reaction, glad she didn't see me faint at the sight of him. The bot introduced himself as Bulkhead. He took Miko and me back to base, and that's when I met all the bots. I met Optimus, who chose to be my guardian. Optimus and I had spent so much time together. I could not count the nights when I stayed up with him to make sure he went to sleep at a reasonable time or how we stargaze to get our minds off of things. But now, here I am on the rooftop of the Autobot base with Optimus next to her.
