Hugging my knees, I sobbed into them quietly. The room seemed so quiet, so thick with sorrow. But it was only me to blame. I knew the consequences of my actions could be significant, but not to this degree. The damage was done, yet you wanted to undo it all. Wish it wasn't really happening.

The mission was supposed to be simple. Optimus, Bumblebee, Arcee, and Bulkhead go out to infiltrate a Decepticon energon mine. No humans, no distractions. The team is just doing what they must to survive. However, only some people agreed with the plan. Miko wanted to see. To watch what was happening. So, as the Doc turned around to turn the ground bridge off, she took it. Running towards the ground bridge. Of course, me and Jack were not about to leave her alone to possibly die. I couldn't sit back and watch.

We ran after her, trying to convince her to return, but the bridge was off by then. We were stranded on the battlefield. It was scary, giant metal beings about to step on us, the sounds of screams and blasters being shot. A few almost hit us. We hid behind the crystals, trying to stay hidden from the eyes of the enemy. But it wasn't enough. A Decepticon fell onto our energon batch and saw us, aiming their blaster quickly at our forms. Miko screamed out as Arcee finished them off with a swift blade twist.

Safe to say that Optimus wasn't happy to hear the comm he got. Kids in the area running around like this was a playground. He was pissed. The bridge was opened, and we returned home with our heads down. I could hear it before I left. With the anger in his tone, I could feel the glare on my back as I ran back into the bridge. As predicted, as Prime walks back into the base, he glares our way. The moment I thought, my life flashed before my eyes. The anger was granted, his raised voice showing how badly we messed up. He was fed up with this crap of us running out into danger. So, he was sending us home for the week. A grand reminder of what it was like without them.

The kids got a ride home; their guardians did not want them to call June about what happened. But I didn't have the same luxury. I was sent home via the ground bridge. Optimus didn't even say bye as I walked through. He didn't look my way, and I was sure he didn't want to see me. Tears pricked my eyes as I ran through and landed in my empty bedroom. The tears in my eyes fell faster than I wanted. The house was quiet. My uncle is possibly out with his buddies for a beer. He called me a young adult, needing to learn to be on my own so I wasn't checked up on too much.

I ran up the stairs to my room, slamming the door so hard that the picture frames trembled against the wall. I rushed into my bed and hugged my pillow desperately, never intending for this to have happened. I only wanted to safely bring Miko back to base but endangered myself. Now Optimus was mad at me, even yelled at me. I wanted everything to just stop, to go back.

- Arcee -

When I was picking Jack up, I watched as (y/n) talked with Jack, telling him something I couldn't quite pick up. But from the looks of it, he was offering her a ride home. Optimus hadn't picked her up in a few days. Having totally broken off their communications. Anger bristles in me. The other kids saw their guardians, picked up, and even taken home. But Optimus wasn't even doing that. Sure, he said he didn't want them around us to give them reminders that being around was a luxury, but at least take her home. There were still Decepticons running around.
