Sunken eyes and hollowed cheeks
Only awarded to grotesque lovers
Tears stain but never speak,
Lifeless cries of disdain from
Perilously begging to see her.
A drowning love with tidal waves
Known to none but them as the currents swiftly changed
She prayed he'd stay forever
He prayed she'd let him leave.
Matted hair and coffee painted teeth
She was breaking beneath her façade.
Dreams of their future
Lost in a grotesque loving sea.
Acclaimed preconceptions
Dragging down the destined.
Anchored hopes and starboard dreams
Were these two lovers meant-to-be?
