I called you with apprehension
You answered with comprehension
I questioned my existence
You never questioned why I was
"I love you too, really, I do"
Tears poured down my cheeks until rawness was left
"It's alright", you said,
"I'm apprehensive too."
Your tongue flickered with those last words.
My tempter, you and only you, slithers and hisses charmed thoughts,
With eyes so entrancing, how do I dare to look away?
