Not good enough for you

Chapter twenty-seven

Previously:
Chase POV:
I really want it to be me and the pup which is laying next to me. But then...

Back to present.
Skye did something I wasn't ready for. She kissed my cheek. I think that she realized, what she did, because she quickly pulled back.
„Gosh! I'm sorry Chase! This film... I just-"
„No need to apologize. It happens." - I interrupt her. (Ok, whatever you say.)
„Let's just forget it, shall we?" - She says.
„Ok. Now we should get back to the movie, I think." - I make a proposition. (Ok)

Thirty minutes later
The credits were about to show when I felt something landing on me. My crush's eyelids closed as she laid on me. (That's what we call a ‚fall asleep') She was too tired to stay up now. (Wow, really?) I turned the TV off and cuddled with her.
„I love you. I really do." - I kiss her forehead. After a while I fall asleep too. (Finally)

Skye POV:
„CHASE!" - I yell as he got shot by someone. He slowly dropped to the ground when he started bleeding.
„Ugh, I won't get out of this. It hurt too much."
„No. You'll live. MARSHALL, COME HERE FAST!"
„It's too late. I want just to say one more thing. I love you with all of my heart." - Then his eyes closed and he laid down on the street. Then Marshall came.
„I'm here. Oh, Chase!" - He starts running towards us. When he's by the Chase, he check on him. One minute later, he said:
„He's dead. His heart stopped working. I'm sorry." - He look at me.
„No! Please-"

„NOOOO!" - I wake up with tears in my eyes. Then Chase suddenly jumped up. (You fucking scared him, you know?)
„What happened?" - He noticed I was crying.
„You're alive!" - I hug him very tightly.
„Why wouldn't I?" - He's confused but he starts stroking my fur with his paw.
„I had a nightmare in which we were walking together. But then somebody shot you a-and y-you died." - I couldn't stop the water coming out of my eyes as I cry even louder.
„Shhh. Everything's fine. I'm here." - He starts comforting me.
„I-I'm just afraid of losing you." - I say.
„That won't happen for now, don't worry. Now what will you say for going back to sleep now." - He wipes my tears out.
„Ok, but will you cuddle with me? It would make me sleep better."
„No problem." - We lay down while still hugging. Then my eyelids instantly closed.
