Coreen couldn't forget those beautiful eyes she saw, it haunted her, even in her sleep. It was the first day of school and she felt nervous, terribly nervous. She sighed, looking at her reflection on the mirror. Her brown eyes stood out from her pale face. She tied her hair, long black wavy hair, back to a pony tail and slung her bag on her shoulder and walked out of her room. She spotted Danielle waiting for her. Danielle noticed her and smiled. Coreen approached her and headed to their classes.

Lucky for Coreen, she has classes with Danielle, even though it's only a few. The two headed to their first class, Biology. They sat at the back, near the window. Coreen inhaled the fresh breeze outside and that earthy scent filled her nose once more. She inhaled the scent and she knew it wasn't coming in the room.

"What's wrong, Coreen?" Danielle asked.

"That scent...It's here again" Coreen mumbled.

"I wonder who that is?" Danielle mumbled. The two also started to notice that girls are fixing themselves, they're applying make-up on and styling their hair.

"Why on earth are they fixing themselves for?" Coreen thought. The door opened and it revealed a man, a very attractive man. However, his eyes look oddly familiar. He has a straight face on as he walks in.

Yes, Coreen has seen so many attractive men but this one stands out the most. He has a body of a swimmer, slim yet muscular. His height is perfect and he has a face carved by the Gods. His eyes landed on hers and something she didn't expect happen.

'MATE' Her wolf stirred. She wanted to look away but she was too mesmerized by his beauty. She expected him to approach her but no, he looked away and sat next to a beautiful, tan, girl. Her heart broke into a million pieces as she looked away. 'What do I expect? She's way better than I am!' Tears brimmed in her eyes as what kept on relaying in her mind.

"COREEN!" Danielle called after her. Coreen didn't know she was running until she reached the door. She wiped her tears as she ran. She was warned by being rejected or disregarded by your mate would hurt, but she never thought it would be this bad.

It felt like she was burning, everything became a blur as she sat in one of the cubicles as she cried. The pain in her heart became sharper, she couldn't breath properly.

"Coreen? Coreen, open the door!" It was Danielle. "Open the door, please!"

"I will not hesitate to break this door down Coreen!" Danielle threatened.

"I can't--" Coreen clutched a hand on her chest. The pain never dissapeared, it became eorse. Coreen remained seated on the toilet, she wiped her tears with her hands. The door busted open and two arms wrapped around her.

"I know it hurts, I know how it feels, but you need to be strong, don't let the feeling consume you, it will destroy you Coreen" She said, her voice filled with concern.

"I don't think I can last"

"You will, I'll be here with you all the way"

Days went by and her feeling got worse with each time passing by. Danielle had to drag her out of their shared room so she would get some sunlight. Right now, they're at the lake, enjoying the warm rays of sunlight. Today they didn't have school, so they...Well...Mostly Danielle but anywho...Coreen's enjoying the fresh breeze and Danielle's swimming.

"You sure you don't wanna join me? The water's perfect!" Danielle sang.

"No thanks" Coreen replied. She went back to her drawing and added more details on it. She was drawing the clouds at the sky.

"Hey guys! Lunch is ready!" Sophia yelled. Danielle went out of the lake and Coreen stood up from the crown and went to the table underneath the tree.

"I am so hungry!" Eleanor exclaimed.

"Calm down tiger!" Perrie teased. They all sat on the chair and ate. The food smells great and it made Coreen's mouth water.

"...So that's how I got in!" Perrie said. She was talking about how she got in X-factor.

"That's really cool Perrie! Where did you learn to sing like that by the way?" Eleanor asked.

"Erm...I have no idea"

"Did you draw these? My God, Coreen, you draw like a pro!" Eleanor complimented looking at every single page of Coreen's sketchpad.

"Heh...Thanks" Coreen blushed. She felt a cold breeze pass by her. She shivered and rubbed her arms.

"Everything all right, Coreen?" Sophia asked.

"Did you not feel that?" Coreen asked.

"Feel what?" Perrie replied.

"The wind got cold...I felt it's cool breeze pass by me" Coreen replied and heard twigs snapping meters away.

"Girls! Get your stuff, we are leaving!" Danielle said fixing her hair. She's now in her jeggings and shirt.

"What? Why?" Coreen asked, nervous.

"Slayers"
