Hajime, Charles, Diego, and Kyle stumbled through the door of Angel's apartment. Their outfits looked to be thrown on as quick as possible. They were all still half asleep but here because Angel messaged them saying it was urgent. Angel was sitting on the couch, looking up at them, wondering why they looked so disheveled. "You all look like crap."
"It's 3 FUCKING a.m. We thought you were in trouble or something with the message you sent us!!" Hajime shouted at her.
"Oh. Sorry for the miscommunication. But it is important." Angel said calmly, Hajime scoffed and flopped on the armchair.
"Spit it out woman!" Diego grumbled and began fixing his hair.
"I got an email from the FBI, we're being invited to Quantico." Angel shut her laptop and stood up. Charles raised his eyebrows skeptically.
"What for?" He'd ask. Kyle and Diego looked at Angel with curiosity, Hajime was grumbling curses under his breath.
"They want to discuss possibly making us a task force." Angel watched their reactions carefully. Kyle frowned.
"Why?" He asked, Hajime seemed to have the same question.
"I'm thinking a couple of reasons. One, most likely control, they want to keep tabs on us and if we become official it will most likely discourage copycats. Two, it'll look good for them-" Angel was going to continue but Diego cut her off.
"So the answer is no right? We aren't going to go be there mascots." The rest seemed to agree with Diego. Angel waved her hand dismissively.
"Those were the cons, the pros are we will have access to even more cases, and more resources. Another plus is we most likely won't get arrested by police."
"That hasn't happened though.." Hajime huffed.
"Yet." Angel responded simply. "I'm not going to force you all into this, if you want to continue how we are now that's fine. It'll be a group decision. But I do want you to know they asked to discuss the terms of us becoming a task force. That means they're open to suggestions on how we want to roll. Think about it, I'll give you guys a couple day-" Angel was cut off yet again.
"We're in." They all said at once. Angel blinked, confused.
"That was too easy."
"Last time you told us to think about something, we all showed up the next day anyways. So we figured it would be quicker just to save time and go with it now." Charles explained. Diego and Kyle nodded along. Hajime bounced up and down.
"Do we get guns?" He asked way too excitedly.
"I'm sure you would have to pass a firearms test to." Angel rolled her eyes. Hajime scowled.
"I hate tests."
"Yeah whatever, when are we going?" Diego asked eagerly, he'd never been to Quantico.
"Right now, I packed bags for you guys in my room." Angel grabbed her keys and walked out the door. Diego looked at Charles.
"Now why is she going to go and ask us like we have a choice, but pack our bags beforehand anyways?" He'd ask Charles, slightly amused/slightly irked.
"I think she already knew what our answers would be." Charles shrugged. Kyle was already digging through the bag Angel had packed for him.
"She got me new sweater vests!" He said way too excitedly.
"Pack it up pretty boy." Diego chuckled and the rest of them grabbed their bags.

They stepped out of their car and headed for the steps of the Bureau. It was a tall glass building with quite a few floors, their security was impressive as well.
"Maybe they'll give us a limo, Angel's SUV is boring, and cramped." Hajime said hopefully.
"It isn't my fault none of you have a car. Plus the FBI uses black SUVs anyways." Angel tossed her keys, gun, and anything metal in the box next to the front entrance. The security guard began waving a metal detector over them.
"We never needed a car before, everything was in walking distance in our lives." Kyle said rather defensively.
"That's how you know your life is boring." Angel muttered under her breath. She gave the guy her I.D and the reason she was here. The security guard gave them directions and they all walked inside together. A tall man in a very expensive looking suit greeted them. He had dark brown hair which was combed neatly. He gave Angel lawyer vibes, she could tell he was used to getting what he wanted. Probably never had to struggle a day in his life.
"You must be Angel." He said, giving them all a charming smile. Hajime raised an eyebrow, was this guy real? He didn't seem real.
"You are correct." Angel said, unimpressed. He offered them a seat. Angel, Kyle, and Charles sat politely while Diego and Hajime had a I'd rather stand, look on their face.
"I was talking with some of my advisors and recently they've taken a notice to you five. I was wondering if you would be interested in becoming a specialized task force, your skill sets are unique and we could use you."
"Let's cut to the chase Mr. Tie, what's in it for us?" Hajime said in a stuck up tone.
"I apologize, I didn't tell you my name. I'm Section Chief Benjamin Cruz. Let's put it this way, I don't know why you five do what you do but you must run into many setbacks due to not having any positions in law enforcement. We would provide you with access to our assets and make your lives so much easier." Cruz spoke calmly and slowly, emphasizing certain words and phrases. Angel had to admit, he was probably pretty convincing to most people.
"Easy is boring." Angel tapped her fingers together. "Let's lay out some ground rules first. We pick and choose which cases we want to do, you can send some our way if you want, but ultimately it's up to us. We'll assist any of your agents and teams if they are to need it but we aren't going to take orders from anyone." Angel crossed her arms, She saw Cruz's eyes twinkle, as if she just started playing some sort of game with him.
"Technically we can offer you an ultimatum. You've withheld information from law enforcement on your first expedition, which is a crime. And you've illegally had access to confidential information. Either you five can go to jail, or we can discuss reasonable  terms." Cruz leaned forward and put his elbows on his desk, he raised an eyebrow at them. Diego was quick to fire back.
"Wrong. There's no proof to the first bit, if you want to we could take that whole issue to court, but I doubt it would look good on the FBI to bring local heroes to court for saving lives. Two, we've been requested as consultants, which law enforcement is legally allowed to do, so any access given to us was, legal. Revision number 54 of the written constitution, Law Enforcement Consultant regulations." Diego stated, the rest of the group, save Angel, looked at him with a surprised face.
"You've done your research." Cruz nodded approvingly.
"I was a law major." Diego said in a tone of voice that said try me. Cruz chuckled.
"I'm aware of all your majors. As well as the fact that each of you graduated college at the ripe age of 13, 14, and 15. Quite impressive. I'd say your talents are wasted though if you continue on as is." Cruz shrugged. He seemed to have the attitude that he'd like to have them on a task force, but wouldn't make any crazy deals. Angel saw right through this facade though.
"I said we'd consider it, but only if our terms are met or surpassed." Angel responded.
"You think I don't know how negotiation works? Offer more than you want so you make them think they're settling for less. I can grant the first part of your request, but once you become a task force you'll have your orders." Cruz said in matter-of-fact manner.
"Sir, I don't think you understand. We do this because we like to, becoming a task force to the FBI is simply a privilege to gain more resources. But it isn't necessary." Charles said politely.
"We won't settle for becoming a white-collar task force. You can control and regulate what resources you want to allow us to have but our terms are specific and we won't settle for anything less." Kyle scratched the back of his neck.
"Alright. How's this, we will give you a quota, which me and Angel can discuss to settle on what is reasonable, and the rest of your time you can pick and choose what you want to work on as long as it pertains to something the FBI would do. As well as that if you're going to work on a case along side law enforcement, you must be requested or accepted in to help them. You can't just insert yourself into their cases. We want a mutual understanding between law enforcement." Cruz inclined his head, waiting for a response.
"That's reasonable. I accept your terms as long as you honor ours." Angel stood up, ready to make her leave.
"Wait do we get like badges and guns and stuff?" Hajime would lean over Cruz's desk and half whisper. Cruz looked amused.
"Badges will be provided, the rest of the resources we provide will be discussed between me and Angel depending on what your team actually needs. Guns however will only be issued if you pass a firearms test." Cruz would close the open file on his desk. Hajime sulked and walked out, fuck tests. Once they were outside Kyle would shoot an amused look at Diego.
"Didn't know there was a brain inside of that massive head of yours." Kyle shot. Diego mocked being offended before firing back an insult of his own.
"Didn't see you stepping in pretty boy. What happened? The Eidetic memory fail on you?" Diego grinned. Kyle scoffed and looked at Angel to defend him.
"Eidetic memories don't just fail Diego. Kyle just didn't want to say anything because he's socially inept." Angel stated informatively. Kyle's mouth hung open. Diego burst out laughing.
"She called you out!" Diego ruffled Kyle's hair. Kyle grumbled angrily under his breath and got in the car.
"I hope we get bodyguards." Hajime made finger guns and would pretend to shoot Charles.
"I swear to god you're like four 90% of the time." Charles huffed and got in the car as well.
"At least I'm not a big fat grump like you lot." Hajime huffed and hopped in the car after Charles. It was Diego's turn to sit in the front, which Hajime was none to happy about. Once again, they fought over the music the entire way home.
