The seven males followed Jennie through big glass doors to a new hall.
"I never knew the palace was this big," Mingi whispered to Mingyu's ear. Wonho, who was walking on Mingyu's other side, heard this and agreed. "I know. My whole life I've been curious of what the palace looks like from the inside.." Wonho said to them and Mingi nodded his head in agreement.
"Mingyu, have you ever thought about what the palace looks like. I bet you were so curious as a kid, just like us," Mingi asked and giggled a little.
Mingyu nodded while smiling. The guys were waiting for him to speak so that's what he did. "My mother always told me about the palace when I was a kid. I was so curious about it and now I finally can see it with my own eyes," Mingyu lied.
He felt really awful lying to them but he had to get this job to be able to stay in this town without havibg to fear for his life, so he wouldn't let anyone get in his way."We have arrived at the examination hall," Jennie announced. The hall was fully made out of glass and there was, again, seven guards waiting for them. "We will test your mental and physical health before you can continue to the next level," Jennie told the puzzled looking guys. The guards walked towards the guys and Mingyu remembered to bow to them.
Seeing this, all of the guards and Jennie started smiling a little and Mingyu was proud of himself for making a good first impression. When they had done the physical and mental health tests, Jennie asked the guys to sand in a line opposite her.
"Good. Thank you everyone, but I have to say that not all of you could pass the test," Jennie said, sounding not sorry at all.
She snapped her fingers and the guards walked over to Woojin and the sleepy guy."Wha- Why?" Woojin got mad immediately. He started walking aggressively towards Jennie but a guard stopped him and held onto him when he tried to escape for the guard's grip.
"You ungrateful bitch! I was just helping! Who are you to decide that I can't continue!?" Woojin yelled at her. Jennie stayed calm and raised her eyebrow.
"Bitch? You called me a bitch?" She repeated and kicked Woojin's shin. Woojin whined because of the pain and kneeled to the ground. Jennie went back to her professional self and continued speaking.
"Mr. Woojin, we think you have something wrong in your head. No one would want for you to work in a high quality place like this with your low quality personality," Jennie told Woojin who was on the floor. The rest of the guys where chuckling because of her roast."And you, Mr. Hyungwon. We think you should just go back home and sleep a little more, but unlike Woojin, you're really wise and you seem like a good person... we just care a bit more about the physical side. But please, do try to apply for a different job here in the palace," She said to the sleepy guy who was standing next to Woojin. The guy, Hyungwon, nodded and thanked Jennie, the guards and the other males (excluding Woojail) and then walked out of the hall calmly.
When the guards had taken the yelling Woojin outside, Jennie and the five guys who were left, continued to the next hall. This hall was different than the ones before, though.
The hall had stairs going to a second floor and in the middle of the two staircases there was couches.
"Please, sit here and wait. Try not to keep too much noise," Jennie said and showed the chouches with her hand. She walked up to the next floor and disappeared behind a door.
Now that there was only the five guys left, they started talking again."So what were your occupations before applying for this job?" Taehyung questioned from the males in the room. Mingyu started sweating when the other guys were answering to the question. He tried to think a job he could say but nothing came to his mind.
The people in this world didn't know what a rapper was, so what careers were normal to them?"What about you Mingyu?"
Shit. It was his turn. The guys were staring at him with smiles.
"I was a student.." Mingyu said slowly.
"Oh really? What did you major in?" Wonho asked kindly and they all waited for an answer from Mingyu again.
"Mat..he..ma..tics, uhh yeah mathematics" Mingyu said unsurely. He didn't know shit about math so he hoped that they wouldn't ask any questions.
And they didn't. Which was nice.Mingyu sighed in relief and leaned back on the couch. The other guys were talking about something but Mingyu didn't really listen. Then he heard a sound of something dropping above him, so he looked up to the second floor.
The others were too busy with talking, so they didn't probably hear the sound.
Mingyu thought that it was Jennie who would be coming back, but what he saw next was something he didn't expect. At the end of the stairs stood a person looking at them. The person was wearing a beautiful big blue coloured dress with a lot of jewelry. Mingyu couldn't see the person's face because they had their lower part of the face covered with a dark blue cloth.
The person picked up something from the ground and left as suddenly as it had came."D-did you see that just now..?" Mingyu stuttered and pointed at were the person had stood.
"See what?" Yoongi asked and all of them turned to look at the direction Mingyu was pointing. They didn't see anything though, so they turned to look back at Mingyu.
"What did you see Mingyu?" Wonho asked, lookind at Mingyu then back at where he pointed. Mingyu couldn't speak. He didn't know how to explain what he saw.
"There was a person.." Mingyu said, still not looking at the four confused guys in front of him."Mingyu, you're making me scared.." Taehyung said and got closer to Yoongi who was sitting on the same couch as him. Yoongi put his arm around Taehyung and held him close.
Mingyu tried to explain what he saw but he couldn't. It was hard to explain when he didn't really know either.
"M-maybe it was just a illusion.." Mingyu told them but more to himself. The for other guys were nodding with him, but the atmosphere in the hall stayed the same. Everyone was on their guards and the room was quiet. No one dared to make a sound.Everyone jumped from the sound of Jennie opening the door again and walking in.
"Why are you sitting here quietly? You look like a bunch of chickens," Jennie said and giggled a bit. She walked over to the males and sat down with them. Then she put five paper notes with some text on them to the small table in front of the guys."Congratulations, you all got the job!"
That was the last thing Mingyu heard before he was hit on the head with something hard and he passed out.
