Its been a while hasn't it? This is capitulo diez, continuation of the so called 'date' with the third wheeling eldest brother, Damon. Enjoy!

10 - Torture

I cannot believe this is how our date would have turned out to be.

Our very first date and we already have a third wheel with us. A very loud and chatty one at that.

I was scammed.

All along I thought that Damon was a stoic and apathetic person which helped in terms of his business.

He was known for those traits for all of his life, so imagine my shock when I encounter him being a brother, and an overprotective one at that. To add to my astonishment I had to experience it firsthand, and as if my first wasn't enough this had to happen.

But I guess when it comes to family, he can't not help but care. Particularly for his sister.

I would be the same if I were him. I will give him that.

But this is just not the right time.

"I didn't know you guys were going on a date, if I had known I wouldn't have accepted"

Damon says his voice laced with obviously fake regret.

"No we were just going to go out for dinner, you're always welcome to come along"

Isabella answers readily. Not realizing the damage her words has caused to my ego.

It hurts to realize she didn't even consider this a date, but I won't let that affect me.

Judging from the delighted expression on his face I just know that he would be laughing in his mind right now, enjoying the situation he put me in.

If I had the ability to read minds, I would love to know what he's thinking to prepare myself from future interruptions I know will come. And prepare precautionary measures.

But I cannot for the life of me take more of this torture; Damon I mean.

"Damon I forgot to ask you, what were you doing in the show? Not that I mind you being there though"

you don't?

well, I do. I do mind!

I thought while pretending not to listen to them talking and instead focused on driving, while listening.

"I thought you told me you won't be able to come because of a meeting you had with an important client, was it cancelled again?"

Damon didn't answer immediately making Isabella turn to look back at him since she's sitting in the passenger seat of my car and he's in the backseat. thank God for that

Again?

so this isn't his first time doing this?

I don't know why.

But I felt a little happy knowing that, knowing that he doesn't hate me just because I'm courting his sister.

although she doesn't know that just yet.
