Nobody came in my room for the rest of the day, which was ok with me, all I did was sit by the window and think about everything. Everything including my dad, his killing, how my mom must feel, what was the whole kingdom is thinking of it. After all we weren't the biggest out of the kingdoms are we? Why did someone want him dead?
I didn't realise when my hands clenched into fists and my eyes got blurry. Oh how I wish Nikan was here, how I wish he'd hug me, let my memories and emotions fly away, focus on us and only us, his breath, his heartbeat.
No Cen. I sighted, you know this will never work out, your mom already arranged everything for you, your future, you can't escape it. I laughed with tears in my eyes, I really hoped mine and Nikans plan worked, at least then we could be together, alone, no one to disturb us. That though made me feel a little better, I could see us, laughing, playing in the grass, far far away from here, somewhere in the woods. But what if we were caught? What if they killed him for trying this?
My eyes were teary again, you seriously had to think of that didn't you? Life is never fair anyways. I could see the images flash infront of my eyes, him getting a arrow right in his heart only for it to be then taken out and then me being left there, to watch him bleed to death, not being able to help him, or his head getting chopped off and rolling to my feet, him being left to die of starvation and dehydration, all these thoughts made me finally break down. It seemed as if there where more bad outcomes than good ones.
I dropped down to the cold wooden floor, putting my head on my knees, not carrying if I'd dirty my dress or get tears on it. All I wanted for now was for our plan to work. My hands where shaking. All that could be heard where my sobs, but then the sound of footsteps on my wooden floor made me flinch. I quickly wiped my eyes and look at the ground. Man shoes, a guy, Nikan?! I smiled. I looked up and sure enough, I found his face, i probably had my eyes puffy and red from crying because he looked scared, concerned if even.
He crouched down, embracing me in the warmest, biggest hug he'd ever gave me. "I shouldn't have left you alone. Not at this time. Not when I know you're feeling bad." I could hear his soft sobs, he was crying.
I pulled back from the hug, only to meet a pair of puffy red eyes, just like mine. I took his head in my hands "Nikan, you always cheer me up, but you know we can't be there for eachother 24/7. If we could, I wouldn't have anything against it as you make me feel so happy and free. I'd probably move into your room and steal your clothes if that was the case." I tried to joke at which, surprisingly he laughed. "I'm not mad at you, or everyone really. I'm more mad at life for deciding to take such a sad and dark path"
He slowly reached our for my hands, talking then away from his face, holding them in his. I didn't realise as my eyes travelled to his hands, smiling.
"Cenobia, look at me." and so I did "You'll always be one of the strongest people I've ever meet, if not even the strongest. Probably not considering the fact that you can't even cary a pile of books withought them falling at least three times" he laughed and i quickly grabbed my hand from his, smacking his leg pretty hard "What do you have with my legs! What did they do to you? You woman are gonna leave bruises on them, so better be careful, I don't think ladies like that" I just rolled my eyes at him.
But he laughed, his laugh filled the entire room. I couldn't help but crack a smile. His smile and laughter trully were contagious. So we sat there, laughing for was seemed as an eternity at his awful joke, but that didn't matter because as long as he laughed, I laughed. And as long as we he was happy, I was happy.

The mornings light woke me up. Someone's hand on my back maybe me flinch. Nikan. Nikan? What was he doing here? My mind began racing before looking down to see both of us clothed. I sighted of relief. I would of wrapped my arms around him if it wasn't for the person sitting on the armchairs, Alya.
