As he packed, Jake thought about what made him agree to save this forest. Then he remembered Katie's beautiful warm Hyacinth eyes, radiating with happiness. The look on her charming face when he approved of her proposal. Jake then scolded himself for thinking that, Katie would never like him back. He was just a random boy she just met. She barely knew him. Jake pictured her smiling up at him, telling him how she had a crush on him.
He was shaken out of his daydreams by Katie's timorous knocking.
"Come in." He called.
"I was just wondering if you were ready, because I finished packing." She spoke boldly and loudly, showing that Jake didn't affect her.
"I'm just coming. Give me one minute." He said.
When he was packed Jake went out to meet Katie, and together they started their long journey.
