week timeskip from previous chapter
the past week has been full of paranoia. i decided that it was time i confessed to big bird. ignoring my feelings will only be bad for me.
but now im scared. scared of rejection and humiliation. i know what your thinking, 'just ask already, the worst he can say is no.' but thats exactly what im scared of... i love big bird, but what if he doesn't feel the same? not only that, but contemplating how i was supposed to confess was difficult aswell. it's currently 7:30, and im at school very early.
i shove a note into big birds locker, its a love note. i wrote for him to meet me at the school rooftop, because thats romantic and doesnt sound shady.
after school i rushed to the rooftop where big bird was already waiting. he was standing close to the railing. i snuck up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder, he turned around and i took a deep breath.
"y/n?" he muttered. i avoid eye contact. "i like you." i quickly said. "what?" he said in shock. i meet his eyes and quickly look away. but then he grabbed my hand and leaned in for a kiss.
