Time tells tales
of worry and glory and gore,
doesn't mind if it's a son of a whore
or less or more than a hole to fill with
knowledge or hatred or everything left behind
prohibited, forbidden, hidden to all eyes,
because while people decide
whether or not to commit,
time fades and leaves space
to a pit of darkness;
blindness cast on all minds alike,
like a thunder of nothing about to strike
and reduce all that's known to ashes

It's the classes, you know?
That student with the glasses
wonders if he passes the year
while he detaches from earth
and wonders what's real
All of his time goes wasted
in stupid ringing clattering painfully sharp sounds,
his focus is gone, his mind too
He forces himself to pay attention to
all the little words crowding his brain
but the main reason to his undying pain
is the unending course of water
that he tries to contain,
it's time and a chain of events
that keep him down, malfunctioning,
let unsaid what he claimed
cause he was mentally maimed
and arranged in a box to aim at himself, see?

His clocks tick hours
the cogs creak hours
I wonder, what's ours?
I guess those are cowards
See? He feels it in his bowels,
ignores all his desires for a while-
time is all he requires,
but he's stuck in the wires:
a puppet subject to his puppeteer,
cables, imprisoned, sincere fear
overpowers his will
If he'll break free or succumb,
that's actually quite unclear

Each day that passes he feels a little older,
the frontier of his mere existence
a wall that gets taller
As he looks over his shoulder, a colder sight
embraces his body in deathly freezing night
and ghastly white gatekeepers
accommodate him, right? Even tho he fights,
he cries
and bites,
holding tight onto a belief
that only once was bright;
now his mighty will slowly dies

We remember it was in spite of himself
that he politely declined a chance to ascend
and transcend reality
Here he became blind and mute and deaf
It was impossible to heal, recover or mend,
restore his health by putting things back together,
because he's so torn I'm sure it can't be spoken, broken, weakened, infirm,
a shaking little mess- no.
He lost more than a limb.
