Inky Strings

Chapter 4

(Ink's PoV)

Error looked at me like he had just made the biggest mistake of his life. I didn't see why he was so freaked out though, all Error did was ask me if we could watch the meteor shower in Outertale together. Then, he stuttered, "Uh- You know what- I didn't mean to- I um..." and he made a portal and left before I could even respond. I didn't get to say yes... I then went to look for Error in all his usual spots, but he wasn't there. After searching multiple AUs, I went back to the Doodle Sphere to look for any other signs of Error. I wasn't really sure why but I wanted to know if he was ok.

(Error's PoV)

'What did I just do? Why did I just do that?' Those where the thoughts going through my head. Why does love have to be so hard. I walked over to my bed and laid down looking up at the roof "What if Ink hates me now?" I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself down. "It will be fine. I just have to-" "Error, why'd you do that?" I turned around and Killer was at the door. I wasn't sure if he knew or not so I asked, "What do you mean?" "You and Ink could have gone on a little date. Why did you leave?" "I- I didn't- Wait a second. How did you find out...?" I looked him in the eyes. "It was on the TV." he shrugged and gave me a smile. I twitched slightly and pulled out my strings. I don't like it when someone invades my privacy. "I'll give you until I count to ten to run. One... Two..." Killer started backing away slowly, "TEN! ready or not here I come!" I chased him all the way downstairs and backed him into a corner. Right as soon as I tried to attack him, Nightmare came. "Can you two not kill each other?" Nightmare asked with a slightly sarcastic tone. "Killer invaded my privacy!" I told Nightmare. "Oh, you know about that..." He replied. "Know about what?" I asked. I was confused. What exactly were they hiding? "Come, I'll show you." 

The three of us walked over to the TV "Sit." I sat down and looked at the TV. Nightmare pressed a button on the TV remote and Ink and I came on screen. "Lust sent us this video," Nightmare told me. I started to heat up as I watched the screen. This is why I wanted to kill Lust and his entire AU. "Does everyone know about my personal life?" I asked aggressively while blushing. "No, well I do, but for other reasons. This time Lust just sent a video to us." Nightmare replied shrugging as if it was no big deal. I had enough. I teleported to Underswap to try to calm down. I found a nice quiet place in the ruins. I put on my glasses and began to knit. I could have gone to my usual place in Outertale but Ink might have gone there to find me. I just want some time to myself without being interrupted by anyone. After a while I felt like I shouldn't be hiding from Ink. 'What if he had said yes to my question?' I thought to myself 'Besides Ink isn't someone to fear.' I put my stuff away and thought about where to look for Ink.

'Then again, I wouldn't have to look for Ink. All I have to do is start destroying any AU. I am already in Underswap, so I wouldn't have to teleport somewhere else.' I pulled out a few strings and caused some destruction. It wasn't long before Ink showed up. "Error, are you ok?" Ink came up to me. "Ink, you aren't worried about the AU?" I asked with a smile. "It's Underswap. I know you wouldn't destroy this AU, you care too much." I could tell that Ink was referring to the time when I kidnapped Blue. "But you didn't answer my question... Are you ok?" I blushed slightly at Ink's boldness. He made me feel... Something special.. The fact that he cared about me more than an AU made me feel special. "I- I am now." I said without thinking. But this time I didn't correct myself. Maybe this is the way it should be. "Good," Ink said with a kind smile. "do you still want to look at the meteor shower with me?"
