POV: Mira

I still need to write a letter to father to describe my interaction yesterday evening with the Dark Lord. Tonight, Dumbledore will pick the champions from each school, it will be the perfect time.

After I finish my classes for the day, I walk to meet Fluer in the courtyard.

"Mira," she smiles. "How was your day."

"Not terrible," we walk to a bench under a tree. "How's Beauxbatons?"

"Not as fun without you." she says looking around the courtyard at all of the students. "Would you tell me about the students here?" she asks, "the culture appears to be so much different."

"Who exactly would you like to hear about?" I ask.

"First: Potter," she says, turning to me.

"Well," I think, "he's a kind boy. Fairly intelligent. He's always getting into trouble, but no punishment precedes it. He's the most hated boy by Slytherin." I add at the end. Fluer doesn't seem to be paying attention to me. Of course she isn't. Always searching for a boy. She reminds me of Cho.

"Who's that?" she says pointing to Cedric who was across from us laughing with his friends. "He looks just your type." she says, raising her eyebrows jokingly.

"Absolutely not," I laugh. "That would be Cedric Diggory."

"He's very attractive." she says leaning forward, resting her elbow on her knees.

"I guess so," I say. My eyes linger on him for a moment. He was very attractive, I will agree with Fluer. I think of my first and only interaction with him. I remember Cho and Luna saying the same thing. He looked different now, though. More mature and defined.

"Go talk to him!" Fluer says pushing me up.

"Oh Merlin no!" I say. "I have a reputation to hold up. I can't be seen flirting with a Hufflepuff."

"...I never said anything about flirting." Fluer smiles. I blush; she got me there. What made me think that I would flirt with Diggory? I sigh and make my way over to him.

He's laying on a bench facing the sky talking to his friends.

"Diggory." one of them says, noticing me walk over. I look back at Fluer who has her thumbs up. I turn back to look at Cedric. His friends surround him as he sits up straight on the bench.

"Walk with me." I say.

"Wow," he says standing up offering me his arm. I take it. "You're not even going to ask if I want to?" I roll my eyes.

"Well you're here, aren't you?" We walk past Fluer. I honestly think she's going to die of excitement for me. We don't speak as we walk. After five minutes we round a corner heading back to where his friends are. He leans over to me.

"Meet me at the Astronomy Tower at midnight tonight." He whispers. My heart flutters. I nod and walk back to Fluer.

"Oh my Merlin, you two didn't say a single word to each other." she says smacking my arm.

"Shut up. I enjoy silent company." I say, pressing my lips together. She rolls her eyes and I take a seat next to her. She talks nonstop of a boy for the next few hours.
