"You sure they won't be home anytime soon?" asked Jamie cautiously, I shook my head, "no way, they'll be gone for ages" I reassured her as I hit play. Five episodes in and we were both screaming with laughter. "Oh my God, I can't believe how terrible this is" said Jamie, I nodded giggling , "I know right, but Jared looks so damn cute, he plays stupid so well" I said, she nodded, "and Shannon, what a fucking cock block" she added, we both burst into more laughter. Out of nowhere we heard their voices talking animatedly, both of us gasped. "Hurry!!" Jamie hissed, I jumped up and rushed over to turn off the tv and pull out the dvd to hide them. I just managed to shove it beside the tv with a bunch of other movies stacked there, before Jared appeared holding Isabella. Shannon trailed in behind him, joining Jamie on the couch, kissing her and patting her belly. "Hey" I said smiling, trying to look casual. They had been out Christmas shopping and to lunch with his mom. "What are you doing?" he asked me curiously, putting Isabella down, she came over to show me a new toy she was holding. "That's so nice, did daddy get it for you?" I asked her, trying to change the subject. She nodded and sat down on the rug in front of me to play. "What were you doing to the tv?" he said. "Nothing, I was doing nothing to it. Ah, we were watching a movie, but I just turned it off so we could go grab a bite" I said standing up. "What were you watching?" he asked, my eyes widened, I glanced at Jamie who looked almost as panicked as I felt. "When Harry met Sally" I finally blurted out, "Isn't it streaming? What were you looking for back there?" he said, I nodded, "yeah, it is, I was just .... looking for the sound bar remote, I thought I put here" I said, patting myself on the back for the quick excuse. "It's here, right next to your spot on the couch. What were you two really watching?" said Shannon holding it up, he raised a suspicious eyebrow. "Porn?" asked Jared smirking, I gasped covering Isabella's ears. "Don't be ridiculous!!! As if we would be" I hissed at him. It was much worse than that, I thought to myself, Jamie snorted trying to suppress laughter. He came towards me and motioned his hand for me to move, "I wanna have a look" he said, I shook my head, "it's nothing, I didn't see the remote .....the cushion must have covered it ....." I was stammering, grasping for excuses. "Lucky I know what a terrible liar you are Gigi" he said shaking his head, he took my arm pushing me aside and looked at the DVD's. I heard him exhale as he picked up the case I had tried to hide. He frowned, "seriously, you were watching this?" he asked incredulously. I felt like a naughty teenager who'd been caught doing the wrong thing, much like the characters on the show we'd been watching. I bit my lip, trying not to laugh, he turned it so Shannon could see. He raised an eyebrow and turned to look at Jamie, she was looking just as guilty as I was. "What possessed you to watch this?" he sighed putting down the case. "You look so cute in all the photos and I'd never seen it, and we just ..... wanted to watch it, I'm sorry" I said quickly trying to defend myself, but ending with my own sigh, I felt kind of bad now. He never spoke about it and I didn't know why, there were some things you just knew not to ask him. My So called Life was one of those things. "How far in did you get?" he asked raising an eyebrow, "we just found out you couldn't read, poor baby" I grinned. He shook his head, a small smile appearing on his face. "Come on, I'll play you that new piece" he said to Shannon turning on his heel and striding off, Shannon got up to follow him and they both headed towards the studio. "Yo Catalano, don't be too long, we're going out for dinner" I called out after him with a peel of laughter, Jamie laughed from the couch. He turned to look back at me, "you little ..." he growled coming back towards me. "Can we go for a ride in your car, I promise I'll make out with you" I laughed, running off. He grabbed me around the waist just before I got to the stairs, I was still laughing as he turned me to face him. I put my arms around his neck, "wanna take me for a drive?" I whispered with a grin. "Maybe, but see, if you get in my car, you gotta promise to go all the way" he said raising an eyebrow, a sultry sexy smirk on his face. "I'll sneak out tonight, but I'm gonna have to think about it" I whispered with an exaggerated sigh, kissing him softly. I heard a laugh rumble in his chest, "it's a date" he murmured letting me go, giving me a smack on the ass before he sauntered off, a huge grin on his face.
