We spent the rest of the day watching movies and snuggling together in the theatre room. We fell asleep there. I woke up at 8:00 the next day and found two grinning faces leaning over me. I screamed and fell out of the bed. They started laughing and my brothers barged into the room. Alex had a broom in his hand, Roman had a lamp from the Minions movie and Luca had a stiletto. We looked at each other and then I started laughing while they grumbled and left, yawning. I looked at my best friends who were still rolling on the floor. I grabbed my outfit and went to the bathroom and jumped into the shower.
My friends and I decided to the mall. We walked around all day and we were exhausted by the time we decided to go home. We were in the parking lot while going towards our car when I heard a bang and felt an excruciating amount of pain in the stomach. I fell backward and I landed on my back. With some difficulty I pulled out my gun which I had tucked into the back of my jeans and shot at the retreating man twice. Once in the wrist and the second time in the foot. He screamed but started crawling away. My friends were freaking out. I felt my eyes starting to close.
"Don't you dare close your eyes, Isabella!"
I struggled to keep my eyes open. "Call one of my brothers." I said weakly.
"They're not picking up. It's going straight to voicemail and Victor's phone is engaged." Sam said, her voice panicked.
"Call..Enzo." I said between deep breaths.
"Okay." Sam said as she walked away to get better reception. I felt myself slipping into unconsciousness. Allie suddenly shook me slightly and I groaned.
"You are not dying on me, Izzy. I forbid you to. Don't close your eyes, Izzy." She chanted as I struggled to keep my eyes open.
"He's coming in a few minutes. Please, don't close your eyes, Isabella. We can't lose our best friend. Please, Isabella." Sam pleaded and I saw tears in their eyes. Allie was applying pressure on the wound as Sam stroked my hair. I heard a car screech into the parking lot and the sirens of an ambulance coming near. I saw Enzo running towards me and then someone lifting me into the gurney. I felt someone take my hand and Enzo looked at me with tears in his eyes.
"You'll be okay, Bells. You'll be fine, amore." He said as I felt an oxygen mask being placed over my mouth. I finally blacked out, not able to hold onto consciousness.
Enzo POV(I've wanted to do this for a long time.)
When I saw her calling me I was confused but I picked up the phone. I was in one of our gyms where our recruits were trained. I picked up the phone and instead of her sweet voice I heard a frantic voice.
"Lorenzo? This is Isabella's friend. She's been shot and her brothers are unreachable. Please get here fast." I felt my heart stop before I leapt into action. I reached the mall at the same time as the paramedics. I saw her surrounded by her friends. They were crying and it broke me to see her bleeding out on the floor. The paramedics jumped into action and I got onto the ambulance with her, holding her hand.
"You'll be okay, Bells. You'll be fine, amore." I said but I was trying to assure myself as much as I was reassuring her. Her eyes closed and the ride to the hospital was quick. She was immediately wheeled into the operating theatre. There were tears in my eyes as I collapsed into one of the chairs in the waiting room. Her best friends were sitting across from me and their faces were pale as a ghost's. Fifteen minutes passed and the Cattaneos burst into the waiting room. Their faces were pale and haggard. Victor and Elijah approached the girls and they explained everything. The twins sat on either side of me and Luca leaned against the wall, tears in his eyes. I buried my head in my hands as we waited for the doctors. About 10 minutes later the rest of her family barged into the room. They were almost crying. They spread out in the waiting room. Some were pacing up and down. Others were sitting and staring into space. Every second was like an eternity. After 10 hours the doctor came back outside. Everyone snapped to attention and looked at him.
"She's stable. But she is in a medically induced coma. She needs to rest. She lost a lot of blood and missed death by an inch. Literally." He said and half of the people in the room collapsed into the chairs in relief. Her friends were crying again and her brothers and I went into the room where she was lying down. She looked like an angel, her hair spread across the pillow. She was connected to an IV and I sat down to one side of her and took her hand. I stared at her features, memorising them as I did something I hadn't done in years. I clasped her hand in mine as I closed my eyes and prayed to God. I felt helpless as I looked at her lying there. I wanted her to get up and call me Enzo in her sweet voice. I soon fell asleep with her hand in mine.
Third Person POV
The boys saw that Lorenzo looked at their sister with love, despair and awe apparent in his eyes. This was the only reason why they decided that they could let him stay in the hospital with her overnight. One by one they all left vowing to find the person who was trying to kill their sister. They had murder on their agenda.
So how many of you think that I'm a shitty writer? And how many of you think this book only needs a proper editing? Anyway, I hope you liked it and I hope I can do justice to this story.
Also I was wondering if I should enter this story in the Watty2020? Is it good enough?
Also is this different from the usual Mafia brothers stories? Or is it the same mainstream book?
Enough moping from my side. So how was the chapter? Help me out and do 3 things:
Comment, Vote and Share the story if you like it. Please. For the sake of my sanity. Because the characters are going to drive me insane the way we are going with the story.
