This place was huge. Sky scraping stone walls, pointed rooftops, and large wooden doors. Through them was a beautiful dining hall in which we were all directed to sit. Anna lead the way to the nearest available table in which the two boys followed suit.

Being as I am, I picked up on their names. The older one was named Cedric and the other, Draco Malfoy. He made it very clear who he was. Sounds a bit arrogant if you ask me.

Malfoy sat next to me with Anna on the opposite side of my shoulders. Prompted by the sound of a loud voice towards the end of the hall, we all diverted our eyes to the front of the room.

This women appeared to be older with an older gentlemen by her side. The two told us that we must be sorted into our houses at once. Doing so, they pulled off an oddly shaped hat from the shelf next to the women.

The first person was called up. And then the next. This went on for a quite a while now. The names were being called in alphabetical order so I had some time to relax before my name was called. Or so I thought. Soon enough, my name was announced. I walked cautiously through the rows of tables filled with anxious eager teenagers, careful not to trip. That was always a fear of mine when walking in narrow pathways.

Professor McGonagall gently placed the hat on top of my head. It began reading me:
Shouting out words that spoke to my ambition, cunning acts of deceit, and resourcefulness.

Slyherin, it said. Hard to miss, I noticed a certain light hit Dracos face as I was sorted into Slytherin. He had just been announced to be in Slytherin too. Anna would be called up next out of the people I knew. I wasn't too nervous though, because anyone could see that she belonged in Slytherin with the rest of us.

After the lengthy sorting process had concluded, we were all administered to our common rooms. These were basically like living rooms for a college dormitory to help any of you mudbloods better comprehend the concept.

The Slytherin common room held a luxurious, divine yet antique look to it. From the dark black legs of the couch, to the emerald green velvet cushions, I could definitely see myself calling this place home for the next four years. We claimed a bed and a room and decided to begin exploring the castle. I mean, what else did you expect us to do?
