Chapter 26 : Guilty

Dahee's POV

It was still the break time when I went to find Sua. I went to her class but she wasn't there.

"Where could she be?" I mumbled to myself.

I was walking by the corridor when Siyeon came to me, panting. "DAHEE! KANG DAHEE!..."

"What happened?" I asked her, confused.

"Sua... rooftop..." She wasn't able to say it properly as she was panting.

"What are you talking about?"

"Sua is at the rooftop...I think she is... going to commit s-suicide."

My eyes widened. "WHAT?!" I quickly ran to the rooftop without wasting any more time.

When I reached there, I saw Sua standing at the edge of the building. My heart started pounding fast, afraid that she could jump any moment.

I was about to call out her name but thought it would be a foolish thing to do right now. So I quickly walked towards her, making sure that she doesn't notice me.

I heard her sobbing when I went near her. I quickly wrapped my arms around her and pulled her down to a safe distance.

"LET GO OF ME! LET GO!"

"Sua listen to me! Kim Sua!" I tried to control her as she screamed and cried hard.

"JUST LET ME DIE! I CAN'T LIVE LIKE THIS ANYMORE. JUST LET ME DIE!..."

"Have you lost your mind? What were you thinking of doing?"

"I don't have any rights to live. I can't take it anymore. I can't... Just let me die–"

"SUA! CALM DOWN!"

She finally calmed down a bit, more tears streaming down her eyes. I let out a sigh of relief and hugged her.

"Don't ever think of doing such things."

"I can't live like this anymore. I betrayed you. I was the one who helped them to get their revenge from you... I was scared that they would bully me again so I helped them. I shouldn't have done that... I should just die."

She stood up and was going near the parapet but I stopped her by grabbing her wrist.

"Sua you can't die! You did nothing wrong!... You're the one who saved me that day!" She stopped fidgeting and looked at me.

"I came to know that you were the one who told Wooyoung and the others that I was in trouble. If you would have just run away from there then the scene would have been different. But you didn't do that, you told them about it and saved me... You did nothing wrong Sua."

More tears welled up in her eyes as she fell on the ground. "But still..." I crouched beside her.

"Everyone makes mistakes. No one is perfect in this world. I would have also done the same thing if it were me..." I put a hand on her shoulder.

"I see that you're regretting on doing that, you're blaming yourself for it...I haven't forgiven you for what you did. I need some time to forgive you but still... don't ever try to think of doing that. Got it?"

"Dahee-ah..." She hugged me tightly. "Mianhae... Mianhae Dahee."

"It's okay..." I patted her back to comfort her.

"I shouldn't have done that."

"It's okay. I'm fine now." She pulled back.

"You should hate me now but you... Khumawo Dahee for saving me again." I just smiled at her.

"Now wipe away your tears and let's grab something to eat. I'm sure you haven't donw your lunch." I stood up and helped her to get up too.

"But I was very angry when you just ran away. So you should pay for the food. Got it?" I said, playfully. "I'll make sure to eat a lot."

She weakly smiled. "Araseo."

"Gaja~"

I put an arm around her shoulder and then we both went to the cafeteria.

"Guys, I've to announce something," Hongjoong oppa said, grabbing our attention.

We all were hanging out at the rooftop. Sua was with us too. "My parents are organising my birthday party this time. And you all should come."

"Here..." He handed me a card. "Dahee, you and you're friend are also invited. I wrote my address there, in case you get confused. So make sure to come to my party."

"I'll surely come," I said with a smile.

The rest of the day went pretty well. Nothing much to worry about. And now me and Sua became good friends again. I was relieved that Sua didn't kill herself.
