In the morning I got up, but I didn't take a shower. I was in too much pain. I just got dressed and walked to the bus stop. Margaret and Harley did the usual taunting.

When the bus came Harley tripped me again, I could barely get back up because I was in so much pain. I pushed through it with out a tear though. I got up slowly and sat down on the bus. It seemed like forever until we finally got to school. I was just in so much damn pain.

I got off the bus when we finally arrived at school. I didn't want to deal with anyone today so I didn't go to my locker I just went to class. When I walked into algebra, Mrs. Flax noticed me grimacing in pain. She asked what was wrong I told her I had fallen down my stairs at home because I'm clumsy. She lifted my shirt a bit and my side was all black and blue. There was a weird bump and Mrs. Flax said, "Oh my gosh. Heather, dear, I think you have broken rib. I'll call the office, you need to go the hospital right now. Who knows how much worse it could get."

One of the office workers drove me to the hospital. I didn't think it was this bad. Everyone kept asking me how I wasn't crying or something. I never really answered.

When I arrived at the hospital they had me sit down and pushed me to a room. They got an x-ray machine and scanned my side. It turns out that a rib was starting to puncture my stomach. The rib was broken and my stomach had weaken so the rib was starting to cut into it. They said if I wanted to live I would need little movement and surgery immediately.

I told them my dad didn't have money for that. Then the lady who drove me here said she could fine a way to get it paid for me. With that the doctor got me in a hospital gown and prepared me for surgery. I was scheduled to have it as soon as my dad arrived to sign the consent form.

I was surprised when he actually showed up. He even signed the forms and let me go. They gave me some medicine to make me go to sleep so I wouldn't feel anything.

I was scared, it is my first time for surgery. They tried to assure me everything would go fine. They said to just relax and not worry about it. They said the more I worried about it the more painful it would be for me afterwards. Which worried me even more. I just had to relax, because it was time. Hopefully everything would go fine.
