Song: I like me better - Lauv
....
Today it's finally July 31st. The night the random boy drove me home mom didn't ask any questions but on the next day did. She asked me about him but I couldn't give her much information because I didn't even know it. To sum up she told me that he's a nice guy and that I should date him. I obviously told her no, that that wasn't going to happen but she kept insisting. She must have told dad something because he also talked with me. He told me to always use protection, but I told him I wasn't going to have sex with him. He didn't care and didn't shut up until he finished explaining why using protection was always so important. I already knew all the reasons he gave me, but I just nodded and told him to stop worrying because I wasn't going to have sex with him.
I call Maddie while I get dressed because I want to spend the day with her and mom has invited her to come and eat lunch. She picks up on the second ring.
"Hey Maddie, you wanna come over to eat lunch?" I ask her while I adjust my shorts.
"Yeah I'll get dressed and go" and she hangs up. I finish getting dressed and lie in bed. He hasn't texted me since that day, and I'm kind of disappointed. Today I plan on going to watch the sunset so I hope to see him there to tell him I'm going tomorrow.
I convince myself to stand up and go to the living room. "Is Lucas coming to eat lunch too, mom?" I ask her.
"Yeah, he'll be here in less than five minutes"
The doorbell rings and Auden runs into the door and opens it. After Lucas greets us, they go into Auden's room and disappear. A few minutes have passed when the door rings again, and I open it and find Maddie.
"Come in, I have tea to spill" I say and she runs into my room.
"Tell me!" she says enthusiastically.
"The other day the random boy showed up in my house out nowhere. I woke up and when I opened the door I saw mom and him talking on the couch as if they already knew each other. It was so awkward because he told mom we had arranged that day to spend the day together, which wasn't true, and that way I couldn't say no to his plan. He knew if he would have asked me I would have said no. We spent the day at the beach and in the afternoon it rained so we went to his house."
She opens her mouth not believing me. "Whoa wait, wait. He invited you to his house?"
"Yeah, we tried to watch a film but failed because I hate horror films. Then we had dinner and he drove me home"
"He didn't even kiss you? What a disappointment" she says looking at me.
"No, and thank God. I don't want to kiss him, Maddie. I would have moved my head to prevent him kissing my lips and that would be very awkward"
"Deep down you want it"
She knows me too well but my pride won't let me admit to her that I wouldn't mind if he kissed me. "See, you won't admit it but I know you do"
I laugh a little bit and sit down on my bed, next to Maddie. "Nevermind. Today I'm going to tell him I'm going tomorrow to London. He hasn't texted me since that day, does that mean something?" I ask her trying not to sound too worried.
"Maybe he's waiting for your text," she says smirking. "I think you should text him and make sure he's going to watch the sunset today because maybe he has got other things to do"
"But I will look like I'm desperate to see him, when I just want to inform him I'm going 'cause I already told him the other day that I'm going"
"You won't look like you're desperate to see him, just text him" but before I can process what she said she takes my phone from my hands and opens instagram. "Really? He named his fake insta account to talk to you theboytotalktoeveryday ? I've got no doubt he likes you" She opens our chat and texts him for me.
