Reign Carter West
I glared at Chantelle while she was finishing up Riley's hair.
"There you go baby" she said.
Riley smiled looking up noticing me.
"Hey dad, you like my hair ?" Riley said showing off her new braided hair.
"Yes baby girl you look good" I said smiling.
I couldn't lie i was a proud father, it's been a long 13 years.
She came over and hugged me before leaving the room, leaving me and Chantelle alone.
"Reign..."
I just eyed her shaking my head.
"Why are you here ?" I asked calmly.
She looked taken back but simply nodded.
"I'm not even about to do this with you Reign"
"You dont have to, you can just leave" I said with a small shrug.
She shook her head.
"What have we become?" She asked looking dead in my eyes.
At this moment me myself didnt even know what had happened between us. For years now we been going back and forth and have yet to just be happy.
"I love you Reign and you know that"
I remained quiet.
"And I know you love me Reign, i know our past has been a little fucked up but I dont want us to end..." she said softly.
"I dont either but what's the point? I forgive you more shit comes up and we end up here, we have 2 kids now to focus on If we not gonna work then cool ima still be there for my kids" I finally spoke.
"So..so you dont even want to try?"
"For what ? For us to break up again in a week? You kissed that fuckin dude right in front of me" I raised my voice a little now.
"We was on a break.."
"Have you heard me sleeping around or kissing other bitches?"
She remaind silent but shook her head slowly.
"Exactly, I was stupid to believe we could even get better, i feel in love with you and that was my mistake"
"Reign..."
"Nah Chantelle you been violating me for too long, I just wanna focus on the kids, if we suppose to be together we will be"
Just as she was about to say something Riley and RJ came in.
"Oh sup mum" RJ said hugging her slightly.
She smiled small.
"Hi baby"
"Yall arguing again?" He asked looking between the two of us.
How embarrassing.
"Nah" I said still looking at Chantelle.
"I-I think I should get going" she said picking up her bag.
Riley looked sad but RJ looked unfazed. Being he oldest he had seen more between me and his mum and I felt bad for that. I dont want my son making the same mistakes and thinking arguing is okay.
"You can stay" I mumbled.
She looked up at me.
"A-Are you sure?"
"Yeah I got some shit to do anyways" I said.
She had a faint smile on her face. During this break she had been staying with Jordan and Morgan and honestly I need my best friend right now.
"Dont wait up" I said picking up my phone and car keys before heading out.

"Hey Reign..." Morgan said eyeing me.
"Sup Morg, ya mans in ?" I said inna pleading tone.
She opened the door wider.
"He's in the den, ima leave you two to it and go see Chan" she said picking up my car keys.
I closed the door behind her before heading towards the den seeing Jordan smoking and going through paper work.
"Yo fam" I said making him turn around.
His frown turned into a massive smile. We hadn't seen each other for the past week since I've been making new changes at work.
"Long time man" he said standing up quick and dapping me.
"Nigga it's only been a week" I said laughing taking a seat.
"One week too long, what's the long face?"
I sighed shaking my head.
"Chan?"
I kissed my teeth causing him to laugh. He handed me over a bag of weed and the equipment.
"You two been going at it since we were younger, yall need to figure that shit out" he said before lighting up his spliff again.
I sighed while rolling up.
"I love her yall know that, but I dont know how much of this back and forth I can take now, the kids are getting older they starting to understand more and I dont want them to think what me and Chantelle are doing is okay"
Just as he was going to say something we heard footsteps.
"Dad"
"In the den" he called out.
"Oh hi uncle Reign" Melanie, Jordan and Morgan's 10year old daughter said.
"Hi baby girl" I said hugging her" You okay?"
She nodded smiling before turning her attention to her dad.
"Can I stay at Uncle Reign's house with Riley? Mum said I have to come ask you "
"Where is she?"
"In the car, she said she's going there too"
"Long as you mum says it's cool"
She smiled nodding before skipping back out the room.
"Just wish I was all set up together like yall man"
"Trust me it takes a lot of patience" he said making me chuckle.
I finally made my spliff, lit it and sat back when my phone started going off.
??? - meet me by highland park
I scrunched my face up.
"Wussup?"
I showed Jordan the phone causing him to raise his eyebrow.
"Who that?"
I shrugged.
"I'm coming"
I shrugged. We finished out spliffs before getting up and going to the park. I noticed figures walking towards us.
"Alisha?"
Alisha was a girl I ended up entertaining a while back when me and Chantelle went through a bad break up. She was a cool girl and we were honestly friends.
"Sorry my number changed but i got some un settling news" she said.
I raised my eyebrow.
"Long story short Reign...I'm pregnant"

I know it was short, unfortunately I was doing it off my phone but tomorrow I get my laptop and the next chapter should be a lot better.
