Today, the world just seemed to be against me. First off, My boss yelled at me for apparently "not doing my job right", secondly, our landlord called and turned off the water, and to put the Cherry on top of my misery, I lost my wallet. I put it down one minute at the bakery when I was on my break, and the next it was gone.
So when I got home and sat on the brown sofa in the middle of the room, I just broke. Hot tears rolled down my face, as loud sobs escaped my mouth.
James walked through the door, much to my surprise. Usually, he doesn't get home till about 9:00, or later. So when he sat down on the couch, i quieted down.
He moved me wordlessly, putting my head in his lap, as he ran his fingers through my hair.

"I'm sorry your sad, Y/n. I don't like it when your sad."
"It's alright James. I'm okay."
"You're not, my love."
I began to bawl again, covering my face as I did so.
"I'm here, Y/n. I'll always be here." He rubbed my head. All I needed was his presence. I didn't need pity, nor did I need sympathy. All I needed was James.
