"Why are you such in a hurry earlier? Did something happened?" Deb grabbed my arm after we got outside the school, "Mrs. Smith and I had a discussion earlier," I lied and she suddenly leaned her head to my shoulder while walking.

"Guys! Wait for me!"

We turned around and saw Rylee who is running towards us. "I thought you and your other classmates had to clean the room?" I asked while Deb just looked at her, "Our teacher canceled it since she has to have early," She said then we focused on the road.

"Hey, Katherine. I and Deb will go to the ice cream parlor, do you want to come with us?" Rylee nudges my arm and looked at me, "No thanks, Rylee. But thank you for asking," I smiled then the two smiled back. We stopped in front of the ice cream parlor and I faced the two girls.

"I should go now, have fun," I waved to then and they did the same, I watched them went inside and smiled. I continued to walk at the side of the road until I nearly forgot to ask about Lance's address, I took out my phone from my pocket and texted him.

Katherine:
Hey, Lance. I forgot to ask you about your address, can you send it, please?

annoying crap:
It's Lot 24 Palm Street, got it?

Katherine:
Anyways, what subject do you want to learn first? So I can prepare the materials that I had to bring.

Katherine:
I mean, what are the subjects you want me to teach you? You can only choose 3 subjects since my curfew is 8 in the evening.

annoying crap:
Math, English, History.

Katherine:
Basic subjects?

annoying crap:
Why do you still care? I want to, and you also asked me. So, is there a problem?

Katherine:
Ugh, nevermind. I'll be there before 4.

I turned off my phone and put it in my pocket, I reached home and went inside. I saw Mom with my sister already eating in the kitchen, I lay my bag on the sofa and sat with them. Mom smiled and gave me a plate, spoon, and fork. I took one chicken leg and rice.

"How's school, Kat?" Mom asked as I began to eat, "Fine," I smiled and focused on the food. "I heard from your principal that you'll be tutoring a boy named Lance Hustle," Mom grinned and I looked at her, "Mrs. Smith called you?" I asked her with curiosity. "Isn't it obvious?" She raised her eyebrow and finished her chicken, I just ignored her and continued to eat.

"Tutor him well, Kat. You might get an award after that, I'll be proud of you," She sat beside me and hugged me from the side, I just smiled at her and nodded. "How about you, Kylie? How's school too?" Mom turned to Kylie who stopped eating and looked at us.

"Uhm, fine. Stressed and tired after all the projects we had done," She lazily said as she rested her chin in her hand, "Don't worry, Kylie. The school will already end in 5 months," Mom said and holds her hand from the table with a smile.

"Time is so slow," She whined and began to play with her food, "Hey, don't play with the food. You had no manners," Mom slapped her hand lightly that make Kylie groaned. "Anyways, Mom. When can I transfer to Katherine's school? I really really wanted to transfer there," She sat straight and looked at Mom, I heard Mom sighed beside me and looked at her.

"I think maybe next school year," Mom said then Kylie's smile faded from her face. "Ugh, but I really wanted to transfer there Mom. It's been 2 years but still, you don't want me to transfer there," She calmly said but I still can sense anger at her voice, "I want to make new friends, don't you know that?" She harshly continued, making me and Mom shocked.

"Kylie, why are you being like that to Mom?" I glared at her a little, "You're not the Kylie that we know anymore," I continued then she glared at me. "Don't you know how long I had waited to transfer to that school?" She raised her voice then I stood up, "You're making Mom's day worse, can't you just wait? It's just a school, Kylie. It's not a big deal," I raised my voice a little then she scoffed.

"I don't want to see your faces anymore," She said and went upstairs to her room, "LIKE I CARE!" I shouted and heard the door slammed shut, I turned to face Mom and sat. "Are you okay, Mom?" I hugged her then she began to sob, I caress her back and tightened the hug. "It'll be okay, Mom. I think she's not in the mood today, let's see tomorrow if she will talk to us again," I patted her back and she nodded, I finished my food and gave Mom one last hug.

"I'll get ready for the tutor session later," I smiled then she nodded and started to fix the table, I went upstairs and stopped at Kylie's bedroom door. I took a step forward and slowly knocked, "Go away," I heard her voice from behind the door. "Let's talk later after I get home," I said and went to my room.

I picked some comfortable but decent clothes to wear, I washed my face, brushed my teeth, and combed my hair. I look at myself through the mirror and smiled, I wore my clothes and quickly went downstairs. I found Mom on the sofa, reading some newspaper.

"Kylie still didn't go down here yet?" I asked her and she nodded, I sighed and grabbed my bag. Oh, the books! I went back to my room and grabbed the books that I prepared earlier before washing up, I went again downstairs and grabbed my things then went to the front door. "I'll get going, Mom," I said and went outside.

I waited for a cab for a few minutes and already got one, I told the driver the address and he began to drive.

I hope he'll listen carefully and not be stubborn.
