Helping with a scam

This was request. It's an edd x reader and is also a fluff. Dropping this a day after my birthday. Enjoy! I changed it up a bit so I hope you don't mind.

You were helping the boys today with a scam. Eddy had some plan cooked out that he felt real good about. You always attended and helped out, mostly because your Double D's good friend. I mean you felt bad that people were being cheated out of their money but what choice did you have? Eddy didn't like you hanging around in the beginning because he thought you'd just get in the way but he had you participate a little bit more since you had proved him wrong. Anyway, you always had a crush on Double D for the longest time. Something about just called to you. You had vowed to not tell anyone and just keep it to yourself.

"Alright got it? That's the plan." Eddy ends explaining the plan.

"Aye Aye, Eddy, you can count on me." Ed says and wanders off somewhere.

"Lumpy it's this way." Eddy calls out. You just smile

-Time skip till after scam-

"Wow, I'm impressed, Y/N, you could almost be as good as me." Eddy smirks.

"Thanks but no thanks, Eddy. I'll just leave the scamming to you. Anyways, I'll see you later." You wave as your about to walk off.

"Have you told him yet?" Eddy asks, leaning against a nearby chair. You stop in your tracks

"What?" You say now fully facing Eddy.

"Have you told him your feelings?" He asks again.

"Huh?" You look at him in confusion. Eddy rolls his eyes and sighs.

"Double D, I know you like him." Eddy looks at you with an almost obvious face.

"Wha-"

"It's written all over your face. I see the way you look at him." He stated. You look over at Double D who was cleaning up before shifting back to Eddy.

"Uh...I-I don't know what you're talking about." You blush.

"Tell him before I tell him myself."

"N-no, no please, I c-can't." You sigh, and hang your head.

"Why?" He gets curious.

"I-I can't. I don't want to make myself look like a fool. Besides, he only sees me as a friend and I don't want to embarrass myself." You sniff, looking away in the distance.

"Look, just give it a shot. You never know, he could like you back." Eddy says, gives you a pat and walks off.

-The next day-

Eddy's words lingered in your mind all night. Perhaps he had a point. You never know until you try right? Didn't hurt to try. So that is why you are standing at Double D's front door right this moment.

"Y/n?" Doubled D said as he saw you at his door.

"Hi..um how are you?" You ask, playing with your fingers. You felt like you could barely talk.

"I'm good, I was just reading. Do you need anything?" He looks at you. Your face starts to feel hot.

"N-No I...actually t-there is one thing I-uh wanted to say." You look down and scratch your arm.

"Oh? What is it?" He looks at you curiously. Almost in concern.

"Listen, I just need to tell you that, IreallylikeyouandIhopeyoulikemetoobecauseIhaveabigcrushonyou." You rambled at the end really fast. You kind of hoped he didn't hear you but judging by the smile that was growing on his cute face told you otherwise.

"Really? So that means I get to do this." In two steps he walked up to and gently pressed his lips against yours. It took a moment to process that he was kissing you but you felt the warmth fill you (a/n what?) and kissed back.

"Be mine?" He asks with a smile

"Always have been." You respond and pull him back into another kiss.
