(TW:Car Crash, Death)
Lin 3rdPPOV
It was chilly fall night where everything in the world seemed peaceful and still, the cast of Hamilton were celebrating another successful two show day with a couple shots of the vodka Daveed had brought.
"Oh come on Lin, let loose and live a little. It's our 250th show. At least take a shot of orange soda. It doesn't even have alcohol in it." Daveed said slowly boping along to the basic ass instrumental they had in the background.
"Fine, if I get behind on writing the next show I'm blaming you. Here's to 250 shows!" Lin cheered before walking over to say hang out with the sisters and Groff.
"Hey Lin, the parties fun. I can't believe we've done so many shows. It's been such a wild ride." Jasmine greeted.
"Yeah. It's been great to see you all on a daily basis." Lin said leaning next to Groff on the wall.
"How's the writing going?" Groff asked as Lin leaned into him.
"Just peachy," Lin said after laughing,"I'm in the middle of am authors block."
"Oh my, that's no good. Is there anyway we can help?" Phillipa asked motherly.
"Not really. How's your daughter?"
"She's doing well. Growing like weed though." Renée answered laughing.
Lin's phone vibrated in his pocket so he excused himself tiredly trudging his way into the passenger side of his car.
"How was your day, beautiful?" Lin said after kissing Vanessa cheek.
"It was great. Are you okay? You don't look to good."
"Just a bit of stress from work making me tired."
"How about you sleep on the ride home. I love you"
"Okay thanks. I love you too."
Lin he yawned before resting his face on the window of his PT Cruiser while his fiance drove them towards his apartment. He sleepily watched the lights as they made their way further from the Richard Rogers Theater. The ride was quite and Lin was almost falling asleep until the car got t-boned by a drunk driver.
Lin smelt the horrid smell of burning plastic and spilt antifreeze. With his ears ringing he looked right over to see Vanessa head on the dashboard, her body was covered in blood from where a piece of shrapnel hit her in her upper stomach. Lin's face drained of color as he started gently shaking her.
"Vanessa. Vanessa. Vanessa please. Your not dead are you. Oh my god. You can't be dead. Vanessa... I can't live without you, please."
Lin was hyperventilating sobbing so hard he could barely speak as he was pulled from the mangled car by helpful bystanders. He didn't seem to have any major injuries but they still told him that he had to wait on the curb till the paramedics came.
Someone pulled Vanessa out of the vehicle and layed her next to the car after determining her heart had stopped. They futility started to do chest compresions to try and save the sadly lost life. Lin had his arms wrapped him as he softly muttered her name over and over. He barely remembered anything after being loaded into the ambulance.
(AN: This is the first thing I've written in a while. Sorry it's so short. I don't know if the next chapter will be longer but I do know it'll be out either tomorrow or the day after. If you dislike Lin's car in this I got from Instagram so... Anyways, constructive criticism is always welcome.)
