If everybody minded their own business, the world would go around a great deal faster than it does.

They stared at each other for a moment, Cater looked stunned as his glowing magic dwindled. Making the first years have more room to escape.

Maruyake tilted his head, hands behind his back and had his piercing stare never wavering. His smile was still ever so present on his face as he waited for the 3rd year to respond.

"Eh~" Cater began as he played with a lock of his hair, his surprised expression now gone as quickly as it was soon replaced with a look akin to playful. "Well Ace-chan didn't really bring anything in return and stepped foot in the dormitory. Meaning~ he broke another rule. If Riddle-kun catches him and found out that I didn't do anything about it. Then it's off with my head too~" he explained, repeating some of his words as if the senior was telling these things to a child.

The lavender haired boy had his hand on to his chin.

Is that so?

...

"I understand completely, but must I say this again? We are still 1st years, it is a possibility that we might not know about such a rule."

"That's true~...but a rule's a rule, orientation was just yesterday~ Are you saying that they didn't paid any attention? I'm tryna' be a nice upperclassman here~ Why don't you freshies just be good and accept the punishment, yes~?" Not backing down at all, Cater had his magic swirling out of his magic pen once more.

Convincing him is harder than I thought...

Maruyake chuckled to himself, his smile turned into a playful grin as he let out a sigh.

Well if that's the case then...

"Listen, Ace has already been punished by senior Rosehearts. He isn't getting away with anything, so fighting won't be necessary. And besides, we were just about to leave. You as our senior, do not need to use your precious time in kicking out a student. In any way, did you not say that you were busy or was I just hearing things?"

-

The rest of them were watching as Maruyake tries to continuously persuade the senior to let them go.

"Do you think Ruya could pull it off?" Ace whispered, leaning towards the bluenette.

"In convincing a third year?" Deuce looked at the ginger with disbelief. "No, I don't think so... but then again, the outcome for this isn't clear."

"Why don't we just run off and go? That guy's distracted, let's leave while we still have a chance." Grim mumbled as he looked for an opening to escape.

The bluenette lightly hit Grim by the head. "And leave Ruya behind? No way!" He whispered, harshly.

"Would you two quit it? Try think of other ways to help Ruya win senior Cater's favor." Ace glared at them.

Turning to look at the lavender haired boy once more, the ginger spotted a shadow just peeking behind a rose bush.

Before he could even point it out, he felt his wrist being dragged away.

"Let us leave while he is distracted." Maruyake said in an urgent voice as he pulled Deuce along, who had Grim on top of his head.
