How long is forever? Sometimes, just one second.

-

Whispers from the students echoed around the room as the chaos that had occurred at the entrance ceremony, ended.

Fear

Admiration or awe

Was all that could be felt from the atmosphere.

Tones rise or quiver, as their voices differed from hushed to audible in volume while they spoke of one name...

Malleus Draconia

His body froze for a moment as he soon listened with keen interest from those around him.

He heard them say praises or the fear of power.

Talking about absolute strength and level of magic.

He had to mentally laugh at some foolish theories, rumors--whatever the students around him were trying to tell.

Then he heard it.

A voice...

A voice so familiar that he nearly snapped his neck to look towards the direction of its owner.

It was tempting, but...

He held back.

How odd must it be? To be alert when at one moment he was confused and lost, then just as suddenly shifted to the feeling of familiarity and eternal longing.

He schooled his features, to reveal nothing than what is necessary at the current time.

And stayed silent.

-

"Ruya..."

At the call of his name, the lavender haired boy looked at Ace.

"Don't you think you're smiling... Just a bit too much?" Said the ginger as the prefect noticed the almost uncomfortable atmosphere amongst his fellow companions.

Maruyake let out a small cough on to his fist, embarrassed. "I apologize... it has been so long since I have experienced doing something akin to combat. Even if I was just defending myself, it makes me feel thrilled!"

At the silence, Maruyake looked around the table once more. The three others with him, looked at the prefect, weirdly.

"What?"

"That's pretty unexpected coming from you." Said the bluenette as Grim nodded his head.

"Yeah! You were all like "if you don't study now..." or "school is for learning!" Yanno."

At that, the prefect had a hand onto his chin. "Is that so? Well, it is true that gaining knowledge is important. But I do not see a problem with taking a break from it, once in a while..."

Ace nodded, then tilted his head to the side.

As if in thought.

"What's more unexpected here is, Ruya doing combat!" He exclaimed as the ginger bit on to his chocolate croissant.
