Loki (I didn't see it there before)

There's something sweet and almost kind
But he was mean and he was coarse and unrefined

The God of mischief and you met on the wrong foot, him choking you while you were dangling at the top of stark tower.

But that was before. He was now at the new renamed and renovated avengers tower, serving his punishment, as recommended by frigga.

Odin wasn't in favor of this though. He only allowed it because frigga proved to him that, that wasn't loki.
And so here you both were. There wasn't a day that you both weren't bickering.

"You don't ever shut up do you?"he asked you, annoyed

"I didn't ask to be here in this bloody tower with you, arsehole"you grit your teeth.

You were on the couch, almost 6 feet apart. Both of you nose deep in your books. But the only difference was that you had your earphone sin and humming to a song. That was what he was complaining about.

"Stop bloody humming, then"he says

"Watch your tone, I was here in this couch first, if you hate me so much then go away"you roll your eyes.

"Fine"he stood up and grumbled as he walked away.

You groaned. You both were alone because no one was there to 'babysit' loki. And majority of them voted you to be with him.

And, as steve said, "yOu sHoUlD leArN tO bE clOse".

"Learn to be close my ass"you rolled your eyes as you yawned you decided it was time for you to go to sleep.

And now he's dear and so unsure
I wonder why I didn't see it there before

You went in your room, dropped your book on the bedside table and chaged your phone as you went under your sheets, sleep consuming you.

Loki's POV:
I was reading my book in the library and heard noises. The library was right beside y/n's room so I figured she was just humming those damn songs again and I rolled my eyes.

But then the sounds got louder so I suspected someone was here in the tower and I stood up, summoning a dagger and carefully went out he door.

She glanced this way, I thought I saw
And when we touched she didn't shudder at my paw

"No...no....HELP!"the sounds were coming from y/n's room and I immediately entered to see her tossing and turning around the bed, murmuring and shouting words.

"Mom? P-please don't leave me...MOM!"she shouted and I saw her tears glistening in the moonlight as her forehead was covered in sweat.

I dropped my weapon and went to her. I stopped when I was at the edge of her bed and hesitantlt say down.

"Fuck what do I do"I ask myself and hestitantly held my hand out to her shoulder.

"NO STOP!"she continued squirming and screaming and I just sat up and took her in my arms.

No it can't be, I'll just ignore
But then she's never looked at me that way before

"I-it's um...fine...I'm here y/n hey...it's just a dream....open your eyes for me, darling"I soothed and took her on my lap and started rubbing her back

New and a bit alarming
Who'd have ever thought that this could be?

She opened her eyes and immediately scanned me and her surroundings and sighed as she cupped her forehead.

True that he's no Prince Charming
But there's something in him that I simply didn't see

"Did you...did you hear me?"she asked me quietly

"Yeah..."I cleared my throat

"Ugh, God. I'm uh....so....sorry"she sighed again

"You can....get off now"I say and she immediately obliged.

"Thank you"she smiled at me

"What's that? I thought you said something"I smirked

She giggled. "Thank you"she says more clearer.

"Welcome."I smiled and got up

"You're not too bad of a man after all"she says as I get to the door

"Maybe not"I smile.

And that was the start of my friendship with y/n. I'm bloody lucky to have her. And she should know that
