Thirty Five

An hour or two into the party, and everything was starting to look up.
I asked Mrs Hernandez to keep Cooper in his cage upstairs in Mrs Hernandez room so that it doesn't ruin the surprise for Romeo.

God knows how long he'd been praying for a dog or pet for that matter.
Guess,prayers are answered eventually.

I'd introduced Katie and she's  met and greeted mum and dad, they'd been introduced into the family and met Mr and Mrs Hillcrest as Hayden trailed behind, as soon as the two elderly couple disappeared to get more of those delicious nacho chips, Hayden had pulled me around the waist and kissed my forehead.

"You look gorgeous,beautiful" he says in a deep husky voice making me blush as I casually run my hands over his clothed biceps.

"Thank you. You don't look too bad yourself" I said as he leans down and pecks my forehead.

"Though I love the dress, this belongs to me only" he says and slides his hand down to grab one of my ass cheeks making me blush as I slapped his hand away.

"Hayden!this is a kids birthday party. You can't just go grabbing me like that" I said glaring at him as he kisses my scrunched up brows.

"I'm sorry angel. I just....I can't help myself. You're so beautiful, it amazes me how you're still single after all this while but I'm thankful" he says and I blush wrapping my arms around his neck as I leaned into him.
Soft music is playing from a near distance, and from where I stand, I can monitor the boys and Katie whose now talking to a group of teenagers her age.

He turns me around so I'm facing the kids, his arms snake around my waist from behind as he presses his lips to the side of my head as we slow dance.

"Are you free tomorrow my love?" He says and I hum in agreement.

"Good. Cause our date's tomorrow night if you want" he says as I feel him stuff his face in my neck.

Too fast Sophie.

I said to myself. We haven't even gone on a date yet and he's already touching me in intimate ways.
I push him away.

No more touching....

" Excuse me" I said as he stood dumbfounded in his spot and I go back inside to help the ladies prepare for the kids.

We sung happy birthday, and turns out, the boys were the only ones whose Romeo's age who came around.
Mr and Mrs Hillcrest didn't stay for long as they'd left for Japan for a conference meeting with the supplies of the hotel facilities like towels, hand washing products,etc.

I was trying to avoid Hayden at all costs.
With my past....its just....its hard, to trust men. I honestly don't really trust men. Even if my life depended on it, I wouldn't. Ever.

Not after him anyways....

I know Hayden won't be like him but just trying to get comfortable with Hayden felt...wrong?
It just didn't sit right with me. A lot about Sebastian reminded me of Hayden.
Their eye color,the hair, the body,his feel around me that caused shivers down my spine and-not good shivers....AT ALL!!!

I felt somewhat disgusted with myself, I'd forced myself to do something I promised myself I would never do.

Trust men enough to let them touch me

I ate that funny hat chip with sauce on it and wow!absolutely amazing!!!

I just love Mexican food, especially with the assortments of chips and crackers and stuff

Romeo was so shocked with his puppy that he cried.
Freaking cried!!!!

Jaxon then stood up and hugged Romeo with puppy in his arms.
Now this was shocking. Jaxon was NEVER one to initiate a hug so ......easily.
I sometimes blackmailed him into not having triple ripple ice cream and gummy worms for dessert just so I'd get a hug or two in a day or week to which he'd roll his eyes and hug me anyways.

"Its your birthday Romeo. My mommy says that the birthday person shouldn't cry on their birthday" Jaxon says and everyone awes at them-including myself.
Katie took pictures and so did I, some with my Hispanic familia while the rest I just took pictures of the boys,Romeo and the cake,etc.

Danny walks up to me with tears down his cheeks, I am immediately alert.

"Danny?baby,what's wrong?" I asked as he shakes his head, his curly blondish brown locks bobbing slightly, as he pouts with tears in his eyes.
I look around seeing a Jake glaring cutely at the small boy in front of me with crossed arms as his gray eyes shone with baby anger. So cute,this one.

"N-nofing..... I dos want my daddy" Danny says and I pick him up setting him on my lap,
"Come here, did you and Jakie have an argument?" I asked and he shakes his head.

"No,we were dos figwting cause cause, I-I said I wan you to be my mommy too, cause you make wafers,and he got weally mad" he says and I hide my smile at their childish disagreement hugging the boy to my chest.

" well, first of all....thank for commenting on the wafers, and secondly, Jake is just jealous, don't listen to him OK? You guys are besties for life and besties for life don't fight over mommies. I can be your mommy and Jakie's mommy too. I already considered you one of my own Danny, and nothing and no one is going to change that. Please do forgive Jakie for being mean, but....you have to try to understand him because he's mommy's boy, and he gets mad over small things but I promise, he'll come around" I told him as he wiped his tears off.
He hugs my neck.

"Tank you Jakie's mom" he mumbles and I laugh heartily as he gets off my lap. Going to Jakie who after they talked for a few minutes, he sighed and opened his arms engulfing Danny in a hug.
