The first three years of the young girl's life had been great. For someone like her, anyway. She had enjoyed them. But then the deadly virus had swept her and her brother up like it did no one else. Everyone was baffled at the young children's illness.
They both seemed to be in a coma for more than three weeks. Then the boy finally snapped out of it. It took him a while, but he soon returned to normal. The girl, however, broke free of her eternal sleep only to find pain. She didn't rest peacefully for six years of her life.
She left her body stationary. She found great pain whenever she moved even a little bit. The slightest movement of her body would undo her entirely. No one touched her. No one even got near her. No one, except her brother.
Anakin and Arrai Skywalker had great potential. But only one of them ever seemed to be able to fulfill it. Anakin acted like the older brother he was. He watched out for his little sister. He was there for her whenever she needed him.
And them the mysterious visitors came. Anakin knew they were not to be feared; he found them quite friendly. They promised to take him away from his wretched home world. They even would take his sister. And he would become a Jedi Knight. And his sister could finally overcome her pain. It was a dream come true.
But at the time, the twins had no idea what they were getting themselves into.
