"This is a very rare occurrence." Master Windu announced. "Every Jedi in the galaxy is either present or listening via hologram. This is a very special day." He paused. "Here with me is Master Plo Koon, here to help me explain the circumstances that happened two nights ago at exactly 1800 hours. Many of you have heard stories and legends of the great Dark Jedi, who could use both the Dark and Light Sides of the Force. Most say they no longer, or never did, exist. But I am here to tell you the truth. They are still active. The Dark Council has been in touch with our Jedi Council for nearly fifty years. We realize now that it was a mistake to keep secret that lead to massive confusion and chaos throughout the galaxy. Master Plo can explain further." He stepped to the side and let the Dark Jedi speak.

"Many ages ago, we were only met with fear and hostility, the same kind directed toward Sith. But we fight only for the side of good, whether using the Dark or Light sides. We were unfairly considered outcasts among everyone, even common folk. We beg of you not to treat us the same way this time.

"Now, the reason I am here is to address the situation. I regret to inform you that is was one of our pupils who caused the rift in the Force. But you cannot blame the apprentice, she does not yet know her own power. I have been always personal representative of the Dark Council, whether or not it be known among the Jedi. If you must voice any complaint about the Dark Jedi, please speak to me and do not bother the other members of the Council about their decision. We also ask that you not tell any citizen of our existence without specific permission from both Councils. Only the Jedi, Dark Jedi, and the senate will know this secret. One again, of you have any questions, please contact me and not any other Jedi. Thank you for your time."

Master Windu returned to say a few more words, but Obi-Wan stopped listening. He, of course, knew many of the stories of the persecution of the Dark Jedi. He swore to himself to help Master Plo in any way he could.

His padawan stood next to him, also deep in thought. He knew all this information all ready and didn't need to hear it repeated. "Master, can we leave?"

Obi-Wan nodded. He didn't want to be here anymore than his padawan did. This was an upsetting day.

It was only time Obi-Wan had been one of the only ones in the Temple. It was so empty without the normal noises and conversation. It made the whole place seem larger. Anakin must have noticed too, because he asked an engaging question. "Master, how come I'm not being trained as a Dark Jedi?"

His master gave him an interesting look. "Why would you want to be one of them? Is it because of my poor teaching methods?"

The boy chuckled for a second. "No. I'm just interested in knowing."

"Alright. You should probably know. The Council discovered something very unique inside you. Very few Jedi have it, at the current moment, there are approximately seven, you included. You have the natural ability of resisting the Dark Side. You'd only be able to use it if you really need to, and once you're there, it'd be nearly impossible to get back. You could still draw on its power, but you couldn't make the full switch, much less go back again. You should be grateful for this gift, though. It's very uncommon."

The boy nodded, internally dancing with joy. He had just discovered a hidden power of the Force that had been granted to him.
