Sarah's POV
I stepped out of the infirmary to see broken glass on the ground. I follow it with my gaze up to the broken window. Jareth was standing in the frame and..... Falling forward? Rushing forward, I grab the back of his jacket, trying to stop him. The material slips free but the movement causes him to rotate until he faces me, looking shock at my appearance in the frame. So I do the only thing I can think of
"Iwishthegoblinkingwasstandingnexttomerightnow!" I scream so fast that it is almost incoherent. I turn to my left and see a very furious, but sad, goblin king.

Jareth's POV
I look at the woman who was standing in front of me, a shaky smile on her face.
"Now I know why you saved me," she whispered, before taking my unhurt hand. The small gesture causes my anger to dissipate, leaving me with a deep grief. What will she think now? I tell her to never kill herself and I just broke my own order. We reached my bedroom door, how does she know that it is my bedroom? Opening the locked door, I realise I'm letting her, subconsciously, take care of me. I'm sat on the bed and Sarah takes my hand and spreads it so she can see the damage from me punching the window. The skin across the knuckles had split, but thankfully only a couple of pieces of glass. I sat transfixed by my hand, almost missing the sound of fabric ripping. Looking up, I see that Sarah had ripped off the bottom of her shirt, the fabric coming to the bottom of her ribs. I averted my eyes before she caught me staring at her exposed midriff and surrendered to her ministrations.

Sarah's POV
I sit there, not looking at Jareth, focusing on the first aid I was giving. I ripped up makeshift bandages from the bottom of my shirt, wetting some in the water jug on the side table. I go to clean his hand, pulling the glass out before cleaning off the blood with a damp strip. I wrap up the knuckles with the strips, tying it in position. Shivering from the cold air, I dispose of the rubbish and make too leave.
"Wait"
I turn to see Jareth reaching out to me, looking a bit feverish. I sit next to him and he pulls me closer before lying down to sleep. Leaning against him, unable to escape the cage his arms hold around me, I sleep, drowzy from the excitement and the heat radiating from the king.***
I wake up to mutterings and shaking from Jareth, his skin boiling. I touch his forehead to find a fever of great proportions had taken over.
"Jareth, what's gone wrong with you?"
I try to leave, to find help, but his arms just tighten until I'm almost suffocating. I spot a goblin in the corner, observing the whole thing.
"Hey, you, in the corner," I call out, "Go alert the infirmatory, please."
"Missy said please, no one ever says please to little Whimsy here. Little Whimsy will be delighted to do as Missy asks," gushed the goblin, rushing out the window.
The heat from Jareth seemed to get hotter as he got deeper into the hallucinations. I stretch out an arm and snag the water jug, balancing it as I took off what was left of my shirt, leaving me in my bra. I soak the shirt, pressing it to Jareth's face, calming him, reassuring him, telling it is just a dream while I await the medics from the infirmatory.
