Mummy Dearest

Third Person's POV

"For all of us, the future is shrouded in mystery" Aleena narrated "But our children were about to learn that sometimes, the key to the future lies in the distant past...." Markus narrated.

"Brody did this. It's called an intelliputer. It's so beyond cool!" Sonia said turning the device on, it flashes and loads of gadgets spring out of it "Well?" Brody asks "Whohhh, I'm soooo" Manic said "Yeah, but does it make chili dogs?" Sonic said "Watch this!" Sonia said pressing a button shoeing Robotnik and Sleet discussing their next mission.

"And post extra swatbotd at all locations! I don't want those infernal hedgehogs and wolf learning about this operation!" Robotnik said "Nice computer joke!" Sonic said "Don't worry sit, we'll be on our way by tomorrow morning, and he will never find us in Hamarapi" Sleet said "Are you getting this stuff down?" Sonic asks Sonia "There's no need to, the computer is recording it" Brody said "Good! See to it-I'm going to inspect the expedition myself! I want Markus and Aleena!" Robotnik said "Expedition? Mom? Brody's dad? Follow them!" Sonic said "It doesn't work that way - we can only monitor Robotnik's control room. Oh wow - that looks like..." Brody said as they could see a book "An old book?" Manic asks "Magnify.... Oh my gosh!" Sonia said "What? What is it?" Manic asks "The royal hedgehog crest and royal wolf crest!" Sonia said "So what's the deal with that book?" Sonic asks "Let's see- since that book is about the Royal family..." Brody said "And Robuttnik is geared up to go to hama-something..." Manic said "So there's a good chance they might be connected!" Sonic said "We've got to get that book!" Brody said "Time to haul!" Sonic said running off with Brody "Where are they? We've got to get that book!" Sonia said as Sonic and Brody arrives with the van and opens  the back door revealing three swatbots "Where'd you get these things?" Sonia asks "Check this out!" Brody said picking up one of the swatbots up easily "How'd you do that?" Manic asks "Cool huh?" Brody asks "It's a new metal that Brody and Cyrus came up with super light but super strong!" Sonic said and shows a cockpit in the back of the swatbot "Hoho, VERY cool!" Manic said and Sonic climbs in and starts moving the swatbot arms and legs "Wow! Looks good, but do you really think these fake-bots'll get us in?" Sonia asks.

*Later at Robotnik's base*

The sonic underground are now inside the bots and walk past normal swatbots "Not bad huh?" Brody asks "Ask me again when we're out of here Brody" Sonia said as they arrive to the main room "Nobody home!" Sonic said "Just the way I like it!" Manic said "No! He took the book!" Sonia said "Bummer majoris!" Sonic said "He's gotta have a safe around here somewhere!" Brody said and uses te swatbot radar system to find the safe "There Manic" Brody said and Manic went to it "Ah, electronic time-dials! That can only mean one thing! Score!" Manic said and opens the front door of the safe, then tries to crack the combination of the inner door "Well, how's it going?" Sonic asks "This isn't working! Can't feel a thing!" Manic said "Go for it bro, we'll stand guard!" Sonic said "Uh-oh! Trouble coming!" Sonia said as Robotnik approaches "Alright!" Manic said getting the book and the four get away when Robotnik saw Manic who was out the swatbot.

*Back at the SU HQ*

"Incredible!" Sonia said "Oh yeah, an old scroll, that was worth it!" Manic said sarcastically "Don't you get it? The book is showing us the scroll of Amai-Rapi - our ancestor.... and a prophet!" Sonia said "For THAT we lost the swatbot disguises Cyrus and I made? Aww!" Brody said "How about a step-by-step blueprint of how we can overthrow Robotnik?" Sonia asks.

*Meanwhile*

"I can't believe the hedgehogs and wolf got the book!" Sleet said "Never mind that! I scanned the book's information into your ship's computer. And if the hedgehogs and wolf show up..." Robotnik said "Don't worry Sir, I'll have a little suprised waiting for them! Hahahahaha!" Sleet said "Get to the pyramid and find thay scroll!" Robotnik said as the ships take off.

"So this Aman-Rapi guy predicted Robuttnik taking over?" Sonic asks as Brody drives the van "Ah-ha! Down to the last detail! Ooh, new information about this area....." Sonia said "Like what?" Brody asks "Dunno yet - it's slow going because this ancient language is hard to translate..." Sonia said "Are we there yet?" Manic asks "Looks like it! Converting!" Brody said exteding the van's wheels making it into a desert-terrain vehicule.

"There's something forming... looks like a warning of some kind... in a lovely shade of purple!" Sonia said "Just like this pretty sand!" Manic said  pointing at the purple sand "Oh my gosh!" Sonia said "What?" Sonic and Brody ask "Beware - purple sand is the home of the deadly sand-snake!" Sonia said "No biggie, we'll just stay in the van!" Brody said when Swatbots start firing the van "Since when did snakes have lasers?" Manic asks "We've got bigger problems than lasers..." Sonia said "And that would be?" Sonic asks "the average sand-snake is as big as a Mobian Megawing!" Sonia said as a snad-snake advances on the van and swallows it whole "Oh yeah, that's about right" Brody said.

"Y'know, I'm open to sugestions here!" Brody said "A light would be nice!" Manic said and Brody turns the interior lights on "We're still moving!" Sonia said "This snake's probably looking for another meal" Manic said "flip on the headlights, Brody!" Sonia said and Bridy does so showing them inside the sand-snake "No problemo! Whoa!" Sonic said as Brody starts to drive the van towards the lips of the sand-snake "Yuck!" Sonia said "Hey! Open up!" Brody said sounding the horn "He's not gonna open up down herr - he'll get a mouth full of sand!" Manic said "Hmmm.... Manic, that's brilliant!" Sonia said "It is?" Manic asks as Sonia produces a metal rod of some sort "Here it is!" Sonia said "What's up?" Manic asks "Follow me!" Sonia said and opens the top of the van and gets out walking to the snake's lips and punctures a hole making sand get in forcing the snake to go up and the four get out of the snake arriving to a pyramid.

After looking around they got inside and got captured in a force field by the guardian of the pyramid named Hotep "Infidels! How dare you defile the tomb of Aman-Rapi! You will pay for this! What shall I do with you.... feed you to the sand-snake? No, I've done that.... Bury you alive?" He asks when he sees Sonia's medallion "What's that? A Royal Hedgehog medallion! Please forgive me! How may I atone?" He asks "Well you could start by letting us down!" Sonic said.

*Later*

"And this is your ancestor, the belived prophet Aman-Rapi" Hotep said "Yeah yeah, so where's the scroll?" Sonic asks "SONIC!" Sonia said "It is alright. This tunnel will lead you directly to the main chamber! I will disarm the traps as we go" Hotep said.

*Sometime later*

The heroes reached Aman-Rapi's chamber "Who summons me?" Aman-Rapi asks appearing as a projection. He looks like Sonic but wears pharaoh's clothes "Way past cool!" Sonic said "What a cool lad!" Aman-Rapi said "Oh yeah, they're related!" Sonia said "Why have you come here?" Aman-Rapi asks "We've come for the scroll of Aman-Rapi, your ghostliness! We need to kick some Robotnik butt!" Brody said "You may take it, but first... I want to hear a song" Aman-Rapi said and the four nodded summoning their instruments and play a song.

*After the song*

"Thank you my children, you have given me a wonderful gift! Take the scroll!" Aman-Rapi giving the scroll to Sonic when the pyramid starts shaking "Intruders! They seek to destroy the pyramid!" A mummy said "Do not fear, they will suffer my curse of immobility! Go in peace my children!" Aman-Rapi said "crashin!" Manic said as they left.

Outside they see Sleet, Dingo and the swatbots standing motionless "They never looked better!" Sonia said "I'm liking this!" Sonic said and they all laughed "I do not know how long the spell will last... perhaps it would be prudent to leave now" Hotep said "Yeah you're rigth thanks for everything!" Brody said and the four left.

*Back at their hideout*

"This is it guys -our blueprint for getting rid of Robotnik!" Sonia said taking out the scroll but it disintegrates "All that for nothing?" Sonic asks "Look! Etched on the glass!" Sonia said looking at the case "What does it mean?" Manic asks "I remember this one from school - translated it means 'Hedgehogs and Wolves will prevail' " Sonia said "Or in other words, Hedgehogs and Wolves Rule!" Sonic said "Alright! Like we didn't know that!" Manic said and they all laugh as this chapter comes to an end.
