I LOOK AROUND at all the displays in the windows.
I sigh.
I know I can't afford anything. Unfortunately, during the busy past few weeks, I actually forgot I had a job. And so, I got fired.
It's okay though, I guess, I'll find a new job... Eventually... Hopefully... Maybe.
I think I'll wait until my life gets more on track first though.
"Hey Cass, it's nearly eleven." Carter says, nudging me softly with her elbow, snapping me out of my daze
"What? Oh yeah." I mumble, looking down
Honestly, I'm not entirely sure how I'm going to face my 'friends' after what some of them said about me. I don't know how I'll even look at them, let alone speak to them.
"C'mon Cass!" Luke smiles encouragingly, "lets show dem bitches what they deserve!"
"C'mon, us four could take them all easy." Hayden says, "but before we attack, we'll wait for you to throw the first punch."
"Haha. No one is punching anyone." I say
"But..." Hayden starts
I chuckle.
"Well, if it comes to that, I'll throw the first punch." I grin
"C'mon I don't wanna miss the movie!" Carter says
"Oh yeah." Hayden says, "pitty I couldn't get Jordan to come, he's at his grandmothers."
"Oh yeah." Luke says, "he mentioned that to me the other day. Lucky."
"Why?" Carter asks
"Because, grandparents spoil us grandkids." Luke laughs
When we reach the theaters, there's no sign of them. We join the end of the line for tickets and start chatting as we wait.
I glance behind us and suddenly see my 'friends' walk in. They're a bunch of giggling idiots, flipping their hair and pulling their skirts and shorts up higher.
Wow, I must've looked like an idiot with them.
Unfortunately, no one has come behind us, so when they join the line, they're face to face with me.
Joy.
"Hey Cassidy, fancy seeing you here." Cindy smirks, "you here with anyone or all alone, again?"
"Actually, she's with me." Hayden grins, turning around and putting an arm around me playfully, "we're seeing mockingjay with Luke and Carter over here."
Cindy seems to be lost for words and I just smirk slyly at her.
"Oh um that's cool." Kirsty smiles
"Yep." Hayden grins
"Next please!" the girl behind the counter calls, saving is from the rest of an awkward conversation,
"Four tickets to Mockingjay." Hayden says
Even though I'm here and I'm determined not to let them ruin my day, I can't help glancing back at them, whispering and glaring,
And I know just from their looks that I'm their target.

When we stumble out of the cinemas, I feel really sleepy and lightheaded, as you do after movies.
